Me too Baf65. I asked everyone in the family if they'd like to come and they said no!. So I'm going by myself!  See it's the same day as the Christmas Pageant, not that it matters to me as my baby is 27.

Yeh Im going to the evening one as I cant make the morning session, and no doubt I'll have to take my babies to the pageant!!

not sure what suburb you live in Cookie but Thermomix are also running back to basics classes, if you havent been to one of those they are worth going to, even tho they do recipes that are mainly in the recipe book I have found its always helpful to see them being made and for $10 its a cheap night out!!  Also Loose Produce in Como run small classes every couple of months for TM owners with some new recipes

Thanks Baf65. I live in Canning Vale and I see that there is a Back to Basics class in Applecross later in November. I thought I might try to get to that or one later as I'm sure I'll have lots of questions after I've had the thermomix for a bit.
I'm going to the morning Christmas session.  I hope you enjoy the pageant, it was always fun when we used to go.
Will look out for the sessions run by Loose Produce in Como-that's not far away. Thanks.

We were sold out for Perth Festive Classes, but there a couple of extra tickets available for the morning class if anyone is interested. You will need to phone HO and book them, just pick the tickets up at the door...hope to see someone use them as we have turned away heaps of people!

I've just returned from the lunchtime Christmas class.  It was really good and all the food was excellent.  I also picked up lots of little tips that I was unaware of.
Tenina, your noodles looked lovely doing a little dance around, sticking out of the top of the bowl. The dish you made (Mango Macadamia Chicken Noodles) was really tasty.
I am even more impressed with things the Thermomix can do than before.  I can hardly wait to go shopping and buy the ingredients for the almond cheeseball. I will have to practise making it lots and lots before Christmas.  (yum)

Hey cookie1 - want to share some of those tips ???  I agree that even at the Back to Basics you can still get something new, and for $10 it's always worth it.

No Tenina, I didn't.  Was chatting to Grace (I think) for quite some time and couldn't see you when I'd finished.  Next year.
Thanks again.  Have made the cupcakes from the calendar-very nice.

Thermomixer, the tips I gained are probably old hat to people who have been using their machines for some time, but here's a couple I remember.
Squeeze your lemon directly onto the lid of the machine, the MC will stop the seeds going in-no need to use a juicer.
To release dough or anything similar easily, simply turn the bowl upside down and wriggle the blades.  I've been labourously scraping things out with the spatula.
To get dip etc off the blades after you have scraped it out, simply give a turbo pulse and food on the blade will fly off. Easier to get the rest out. (lid on of course)
Hopefully I have explained them clearly!

Thanks for the tips - hadn't seen the "tip it upside down and wiggle it" tip before.

Are there likely to be Xmas cooking classes this year? If so, when do we find out? Because it sounds delicious... :)

Hi VC not sure where you are but I do think they are fully booked out in Perth. Would be worth ringing HO just to find out though, you never know someone may have cancelled!

LOL TBH it isn't something I am striving for as I watch my GL run herself into the ground. She would love me to do it but I see too much  :-)) :-))  ;D ;D

Corowa and Wangaratta have a B2B cooking class on 21st and 22nd of November which will have  bit of a Christmas theme too, we're not big enough to run a full Christmas Cooking Class yet.

All cooking class details are on the Thermomix website www.thermomix.com.au (http://www.thermomix.com.au) or call HO.

Re the Group Leader - think it really pays to do your research and the geographical area of consultants you'd cover.  Imagine that Canberra would be a good area. ;)

Hi Cookie1,  Would you know if the festive class that you attended is the same class that is to be run in Adelaide later this month???

Cheers
Trudy

ILB you'd think so but it seems to be quite slow here... and no, i'm not remotely interested in being GL, i am barely sustaining any interest in being a demonstrator atm :(

That seems a bit unfair - because there aren't enough Thermomixes sold in Canberra, we don't get a Xmas class  :'( :'( :'( ?

And I missed the last basics class (clashed with a work event) :( and there are no more for Canberra on the website :( .

I haven't been yet Trudy, the above is all about last year. I should imagine they will be very similar as they'll be selling or giving out this year's Christmas book.  I really enjoyed it last year as it really was an advanced class, not a lot of this is how you crush ice etc. they just got on with the show and only demonstrated if things were a bit different. It was sort of cook at 90 for 30 seconds without this is how you cook at 90 talk.

Trudy they are doing a festive one in Adelaide, there was an email sent around awhile ago. Cant remember the date but will see if I can find the email and forward for you.

I am doing a little christmas workshop for my customers so might be something to think about for those who are not getting the class.

Is there anyone who lives near North Haven, Sth Australia who is going to the morning festive cookery course at Regency Park on the 30th November.  I have my ticket but won't be allowed to drive for a good while yet so am looking to hitch a ride if possible.  If not, I will taxi it.  Am meeting up with Amanda there but she lives no where near me.

Good work - 2 in 2 days, so close together?  Won't people travel in the country?
Title: Re: xmas cooking classes

Yes, 2 in 2 days, 1 day of rest then surger  :-))  :o  Sucker for punishment!!

Actually, we'd set the Wang date hoping to get a lot of my customers from Corowa along, then another consultant from Bendigo (Hi Leisa if you're here) arranged the one in Corowa as she had a friend who had a heap interested in seeing it. And it just so happened to be the same weekend. They're only 1/2 hr apart so would have been good to combine, but oh well.

And to answer your question Thermomixer - apparently they don't travel. Can't get anyone from Shepparton (only an hour away) over here to any of the classes. Which surprised me.

Pity as they all missed an amazing day!

Going 300km tomorrow afternoon for dinner  :o :o :o .  I'm happy to travel, for the right reason.

Good luck with surger(y) and sales from the leads at class

Things have finally worked out for me - neighbour dropping me off and friends picking me up afterwards.  See you there Amanda.
