this is my take on the salad .... same as above ... i just added baby spinach, iceburg and rocket.

love quinoa ...i have used a few different ways .... i have used it in stuffing with whole cranberries and a bit of orange rind, and some GF multi-seed bread crumbs.... for a pork roast .... LOVE IT!!!!

we are def having this in the house as a pantry essential.

thought i would share an update - 22.8 kg.....

i wanted to be minus 20 by the end of the year and -25 by april 2013....

i have 1.6kg to go ... and i will be dancing with double dudes (below 100kg) i am trying to get there before the end of the year .... but these xmas party treats are calling my weakness ....  ;) lucky it is once a year

am ahead of where my personal goals are set ... so this makes me happy .... i wanted to be minus 20 by the end of the year (whooo hooo i reckon i will get to -23/24 by the end of the year )and -25 by april 2013.... Would be awesome to make -25 by the end of the year ,,, but no biggy if i dont ...just a bonus.

had a funny experience the other day ... someone who has not seen me in  about 6 months ...come up to me and went "ooooohhhhh my gawd ....in a way that i jumped 10 feet high, spinning about in circles looking for what she was looking at in shock thinking there must be a spider or a cockroach behind me and something was going to jump out ..... :-)) :-)) :-)) and it was me

this is my results .....i baked it in a rectangular tin at 150deg in a ff oven for 45 mins ..beautiful cake .... i like the texture and a flavour of this cake .... i used Gluten Free flour and  i have made a dairy free frosting ....

kekekeke i have a tribe in my house so when i have cake in the house i often mark out the portion size in the icing to help the cake go around a bit more cause if it was left to the skid lids it would be gone in 2 seconds .... but they have all got it in their lunch boxes today ... so i will get their verdict this arvo

Kimmyh ''' yes i would agree with that ... it feels a bit like a butter cake

You don't need 5-spice Phatassphairy, you might be confusing this with the Allspice mentioned in the recipe.

I'm definitely making this as soon as i get hold of the prunes. Sounds delicious.

whooops .....yeah that is what i mean  :-)) :-)) :-)).... and still dont either kekeke :P

we have just discover that DD miss 13 has developed a gluten allergy and intolerance to milk ..... it has been suggested that it is to do with hormones ... and she will most likely grow out of it, But fun thing is even when she was little below 4ish she didn't like milky products.... if we ever went for ice cream .... she would always select fruit/icy one over milky .... she doesn't like chocolate.... so i wonder if this is her taste buds protecting her body against the fight of lactose....

poor kid is struggling with no bread and she is a bit of a fussy eater as well ....she doesn't like eggs or seafood or dried fruit.... she is a bit over GF crackers already .... so i am trying to bake what i can to give her a bit of variety in her lunch box ... but she eats all salads ,,, and she is a bit over salads in her lunch box too. tried her with (the type of soak) rice paper rolls .... she doesn't like them ...giggles she doesn't like the feel of biting into them..... so tomorrow i have fried rice, going to make whole orange cake for a snack with gf

anyway i am looking into GF products ...... and it has been suggested to me that coconut flour has a better flavour and texture when baking .... and i am just wanting to know if there are GF wise ones that can give me their opinions...cause i am worried that they might just be trying to make a sale cause there is a bit of a difference in the $ .... or if it is genuine advice ....cheers
