I made a big pot of chicken soup and another batch of quince paste today.

Made chicken cauliflower soup.
As an experiment, I made SD Hot X Buns and froze them before baking. Disaster.  Will now let them come to room temp and re mix them in TMX with yeast.

Yesterday afternoon I made Tenina's Nutella Hot Cross Buns. DD took them to work today for the Easter morning tea. I haven't heard what they were like as yet.

I’m sure they were lovely cookie.

How did your SD buns end up with some yeast added Chookie?

I decided to leave them on the bench all day and see what happened.  They rose 3/4 of what they normally would so I decided to bake them in a covered pan, to start.  The end result wasn’t too bad.  Not quite as high as unfrozen ones.
The class I had was with local ladies.  We had a fine time.  They did all the work and we did lots of taste testing. (.  Ral made the coffee in his new Rocket),   They have been sending me photos all day of what they made when they got home.

The Nutella HCB weren’t as nice as your recipe Chookie.  DD took them to work and everyone said they were bought!!!  This is the second time this has happened. I guess the it is a backhanded compliment.

Today I made Alyce’s Hot Cross Bagels. They are steamed and were easy to do.

Bagels look interesting.
RTE Fish Pie is beautiful.  I made the white sauce and mashed potato on the TMX. Could probably have poached the fish also in the Varoma. Couldn’t get smoked cod, sold out.   Used very expensive smoked salmon. The pie needs the smoke flavour.   8 Generous serves.
