Demo delayed for a day.  What to do with a full jar of SD starter.
Make crumpets.   While in Melbourne I did a taste test of Dr Marteys SD crumpets.  I had to see if mine are as good.   I think they are. ( probably shouldn’t say that :(. )

I bet your crumpets are 100% better Chookie.  8)

Love tomato soup Cookie. Yours looks delicious. 8)

What a lovely coffee picture.

Yuk! Vegemite Hot Cross Buns-I don’t think so. The vegemite chocolate was a flop.

Is that cross made from vegemite?  No thank you, I’ll stick to vegemite on toast.

I had a little bit of goat’s cheese in the fridge so I found a recipe of Tenina’s that was Pumpkin soup with goat’s cheese. It was quite nice. I also made a SD loaf that had rye flour in it and sat in the fridge overnight. https://tenina.com/recipes/bacon-pumpkin-and-goats-cheese-soup

Cookie, that loaf looks perfect. What proportion of rye to SD starter did you use.?   Was the starter SD?

Chookie I will put up the recipe as I have mucked around with it so much that it is no longer original.

The recipe is up now!

Thanks Cookie.
Today we made the best SD Hot X Buns. Recipe as posted on Forum but baked 10 minutes covered, then 15 minutes with cover off. We priced them as they were 30 cents each !!
Now testing new SD crumpet recipe.
