Thanks. I did learn cake decorating over 25 years ago, but not with buttercream. It was all rolled or plastic icing with Moulded flowers and delicate piping work.  I haven't done much since I had my kids, so I'm having fun playing with buttercream   I had to buy new icing tubes as all mine are very small, designed for Royal icing work.

Wow, beautiful cakes Jamberie and ES.  You both have lots of patience and talent.

That looks lovely Margaret. I have one rising at the moment, its very slow as it is about 13 degrees. I have started the loaf that Denise's DS made too. I hope it turns out as lovely as his.

I made strawberry smoothie cubes and chicken stock paste (both from the family fare cookbook)
then made garlic butter which I used inside chicken thigh fillets then wrapped in bacon
then made garlicky chicken gravy. :) yum!!

If I was judging a cake decorating competition Jam and ES would be given a prize, magnificent!
Astarra, your Chucken sounds so so garlicky and Devine, love love garlic. I am still pondering over that book.

I made some Blueberry Doughnuts that were cake like and baked and also cooked the overnight SD that Denise's DS made. Mine could have done with a little more rising but the taste is fantastic.

Astarra you have been busy.

Thanks MEP. Someone from DD's work brought in heaps of blueberries so she gave me some. Even though it was a cake mix they tasted sort of like doughnuts. I'll pop the recipe up.
