Well thanks for asking, they are re ordering new windows. Hoping to hear tomorrow when fitting will be. Hoping for Monday.... But in all honesty unlikely.
We have newspaper stuffed between the frames and the walls.... A new fashion maybe. We've been lucky with a mild autumn. We have no heating and wonky windows, but the Aga is working hard drying clothes, feeding us etc etc.

I spend at least two hours a day clearing up after the plumbers sawdust. We must be making progress but it doesn't always seem like it. Stripped wallpaper for 3.5 hours today. Very slow as multiple layers, but am over half way in the room now.
Electrician comes tmro so double the mess, but double the progress too we hope. The novelty is wearing off a bit I must say, but living through it was the only option we had and we've done ok so far.

We've also had an inch of rain today so going out with the dog was not fun. In fact he was very quiet today, probably because he was very hyper last night with DD racing around madly and wore himself out.

Am going for a wee treat  tomorrow - a hair wash and cut as a morale booster, and necessary with plumbers in bathroom all day and everyone else taking turns. The system has been drained so many times we've been short of hot water in the evenings and the young get the morning water.

There is nothing like a hair cut to boost morale DJ. Sit back and enjoy it.
