Do you need a 2nd bowl/blade set? Would you purchase one?
« on: October 18, 2011, 03:02:12 am »
Hi there

I have hosted a TM demo at my house this week and the October incentive for hosting was to be able to buy a 2nd bowl and blade set for $195, normally around $400.

Do you think it is worth spending the extra money on?

I'm not sure that I need one but it certainly is cheaper.

Many Thanks

I'm sure everyone will answer YES!  :)
I hosted a demo on the weekend too, just so I could take advantage of this special and get a 2nd bowl.  I can't wait until it arrives!

There's a whole thread already on this topic:

(Hope the link works; it's not something I've tried before  :))

Go for it PaulaM - I never thought I would consider a 2nd bowl but would dearly love to have one.

Not sure I need a second bowl but there have been occasions when it would have been very helpful.

Strongly considering ordering one, assuming I don't get in trouble.

Not only is it useful for keeping the flow of cooking going when you are making multiple items, it is always handy to have a spare bowl/blade in case you have a problem with your blade unit.  You don't have to wait for a new blade to arrive in the post, you have one on hand already.

I am sure you would have no regrets,I bought my second bowl 3 weeks after TMX. It only enhances your Thermie. Paid full price with no regrets.

Denise I think she is swinging towards it, she told me to put 2 spatula's in the shopping basket (one to replace our current one which we somehow melted the tip of, and another because as she said "well if you have two bowls, you'll need another spatula" ... however she hasn't actually said I can place the order)

We'll see.

That does sound like the go ahead though tarasis.  Cook her an extra special meal and over dinner, pop the question ;)

Oh Rob, your wife sounds like my Ed.  I wonder if I could tell him that it is a reward for becoming a Senior Member on this site?  A free gift for making thoughtful contributions???  It just comes automatically in the post after three months of owning a Thermomix?  Pity though, because Ed is in Washington DC and I bet he is reading this post and catching me out as I type to you all....

Better think of a new plan...

You have no hope of getting away with anything Lee, you have to be married to a computer illiterate person for that to happen.  You can put forth ideas though, Ed will read them and know exactly what you want - whether you get them though is another matter.  ;) ;)

My lovely friend had a demo on Friday night and rang to say that she didn't want the extra bowl, did I want it. One new bowl on its way to my house.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!

Now that's a great friend you have jeninwa. You won't regret having 2 bowls that's for sure.
