K Atie,  take it easy.
Judy, looks good. Handy as you don’t have to bend.

Thanks Margaret, Denise and Chookie, it’s nice to save something heading for the dump.
This morning I’ve done my walk, spent an hour in the front garden as the green bin gets collected in the morning and was only half full then I washed the car.  Now I can relax for the afternoon.

K Atie I think Endone is pretty potent?
I hope things go well next Monday for your DM. How far are you from Melbourne?

Yesterday we had a man from the security company come to look at our security. We have to change it all because of the NBN coming through. He carried on like a chook (sorry Chookie) about when he could come etc. then he turned up about 4pm. He said he charged $100 for the call out. Well he smelt very off, ( I wanted to gift him some soap) and he was so big his little car almost stuck to him as he got out of it. DH said it would take him about 5 minutes to disconnect the phone line. Not too sure what happened but he couldn't do it and said he would return today. He said it didn't matter that it was Anzac day as he was a busy man. Naturally he hasn't turned up.
We bought the security from this company but they have since down sized. I wonder if he will turn up tomorrow. He obviously doesn't want his $100.

Too busy for my liking at the moment. Cookie 3 hours to Melbourne! DD asked very nicely after we had been to the local Anzac service if we could go to the Melbourne Museum to the top Arts - Visual Communication exhibition this arvo ! So we goggled the best way to get there and it was easy , one hour later done . Even DS enjoyed it there was lots to look at as well as Media , Drama and engineering . We had dinner at Fonda a Mexican restaurant . Bring on tomorrow ! These holidays are wearing me out .

Cookie,I don’t like the sound of that service man.  Can you ask for another employee.?
K Atie, our DD runs around like you.   Is it a Melbourne/ country thing for parents of teenage kids.
Quiet day today as we have a busy weekend coming up.

Cookie, I would be very wary of the serviceman as well.

I rang a company up last week to discuss phones for our work when the NBN gets connected and, whlst he was very nice, he had a very irritating laugh (and he laughed a lot), that put me off, but I guess an irritating laugh is several steps up from your serviceman.

I totally agree with you all. Sadly he is the only rep for the company that put the security in. However he hasn't even bothered to call today so he can get lost. It is no way to attempt to run a business and if he ever bothers to call again I will tell him. DHG said he would rather take a hammer to it!! Men! We will ring round and see what we can do with another group.

Cookie, you may find if your security system is a little on the older side - maybe 6-7+ years old, don't be surprised if they say it is cheaper to completely renew the entire system.  From our experience these things become outdated even faster than computers!

Made with 1/2 of a plain vanilla cake mix.
Baked in oil cups.

Small bread rolls, 8.   Made from 1/2 No Fuss bread recipe.
Baked 10 minutes, turned and then further 5 minutes.

Thank you Chookie , makes me feel a little more normal that you DD does the same .
So we arrived at the dentist to be told that the splint/ plate company were closed today ... I smiled and thought are you kidding , but all OK DD Braces removed , a beaming smile 😃. Mould taken for a splint mouthpiece for night wearing. DS had his teeth cleaned ... had fisher seals for 3 back molars . We decided that everyone was mad - trying to park the car became how many times can they reverse nearly into me .
Home , worn out ready for DS 14 Th Birthday tomorrow, a quiet day ,out for dinner .

I’ll have to try those bread rolls Chookie, I love what we can cook in the pie maker other than pastry pies.

Thanks Marina, you are right. A friend mentioned this today. I will be ringing a couple of other companies on Monday. Ones I know are reputable.
DD and I went shopping and coffeeing (?) this morning. She bought a couple of pairs of boots at Myer as they were 40% off. Too good to miss she said. She is working in oncology tomorrow so she said the days pay should cover them.
We are off to a car display.

DS woke early, 14 years old today . We had a yummy chocolate and hazelnut mud cake from David Jones , very rich . Out to dinner which we never do here . It was nice for all of us to get dressed up and have some very special food. DS has been listening to his school book while we traveled this last week , DD is still doing homework. Even in the car on the way to dinner ! And after we got home ... what it the rest of the year going to be like for her , I just keep telling her we are proud of her and also try to get her outside for a break .
