What a lovely idea Chookie. It would be a fairly quick dessert too.

That was a good idea Chookie.  I may make some for the GC when they come.

I calorie counted one.  400 calories, I won’t be eating any. RAL said delicious.  I gave them to the lady next door.

I made a rye SD today. I need to make some biscuits as all the Choccy Rocks have gone already.

I made apple muffins in the pie maker.  Not nice, a bit rubbery.
First lot of Hot X Buns. 80% ok.
Chicken and veggie soup.
Cooked Brown and wild rice in TMX and then Quinoa.  Mixed all together.

Not much cooking but I’ve made a low carb version of the broccoli salad in the Everyday Cookbook, I love it and this lot will last me 5 days easily.
I’ve also steamed the balance of the broccoli with some cauliflower ready to make the Keto cheese sauce later.
I’ve got cream to use up so I intend stopping at the shops after visiting Mum to buy some mushrooms then I can make a mushroom sauce, adding some grated zucchini like Chookie did earlier.  Bit and pieces of zucchini to use up too.
More ready foods for the freezer.

Judy, feels good using up the odd bits.  No waste.
Today I made a salad and it all came from the garden except the olives. Had it with the unorthodox fish cakes.  Did bake them.  Not quite the same as shallow frying but better for us.
Made SD pancakes. Doubled the recipe , made 12 large ones.

No cooking here today. DH and DD finished the last Hot Cross Buns from the freezer, so I can now make another lot.

My large batch of mushroom sauce with the addition of a grated zucchini.  My 1 litre bottle of cream from Costco has now all been used, I was beginning to think I would never get to the bottom of it.  Great addition to the sauce Chookie, thanks for that idea.  When it cools I’ll portion it into serving size serves using my large ice-cube trays.

Both your salad and sauce look delicious Judy.  I always feel good after having a salad. :)

For some reason I am obsessing on onions - or the lack of onions - so yesterday, after I bought some I froze some as well for emergencies  :o  I don't know why this has happened to me, but at least I now have some pre-cut onions ready for when I am cooking.  I believe they are fine for cooking, not great raw.  Ah well, maybe I should head back to the kitchen and freeze some more - "just in case!"

Note to self:  BEHAVE, you don't need so many onions ....

Yesterday I cooked the last of the plums.  1/2 are dripping through the jelly bag.   I have only enough sugar to make one lot of jelly.  Problem is what to do with other half of cooked plums.  No room in freezer.  Could make spicy plum sauce. Have about 2 litres of cooked plums sitting cooking liquid.  Any ideas. ?
Better make some Choc Chip biscuits today.
