Making a Japanese Milk loaf for neighbour.  Couldn’t get car started and it was parked in front of other car so couldn’t use it.  Called taxi, stood out front in the rain, waiting. Neighbour saw us and offered to drive us to eye appointment.  Cancelled taxi.
Also experimenting with same recipe, making out of plain Wholemeal flour. Adding a bit more yeast and improver. ???

That’s a nuisance with the car Chookie. They never do that when the weather is fine.

Neighbour was very pleased with bread.  He has serious tummy issues and usually buys crap plain Aldi bread. The wholemeal version was very successful. Will need to moderate recipe but certainly was successful.  Looks very strange  but sliced well while still warm.  Baked in smaller tin without lid.  Used plain cheap wholemeal flour.  Not bread flour.
Have tried to put photo up but Tapatalk not allowing.
Also made some very unusual shortbread biscuits.  On my blog.

I made some Almond biscuits during the week but other than that there is not a lot happening in my kitchen.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Thanks Cookie, glad it isn’t me being silly.
Today I am trying something very different and think it may result in a very different bread. It will be a combination of SD and the Japanese Milk bread.  Also testing the Wholemeal version of the Japanese milk bread, before I publish it.

That sounds really exciting Chookie. DD’s best friend is asking for more of the Japanese Milk Bread.
I have some of Thermomixer’s Crumpets rising. It was a sudden decision and I didn’t have any starter available. I’ve also made some cake release.  https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=99.0

The Wholemeal Japanese bread was a real success.  It stayed quite fresh for 5 days.
I am still experimenting with  the Yudane and SD.  Bit of a contradiction in textures.  If it doesn’t work the chooks will love it.

I have a friend coming to visit today so made some Apple & Cinnamon Muffins.  I cheated tho and used a packet mix, not something I normally do.

Hi everyone, I haven’t been around much as seem to be at Mum’s in Port Pirie & looking after grandkids much of the time.  Have missed keeping up with what everyone is doing!  Have a day off today from grandkids so been in the garden between showers and now making some almond biscotti.

Hi Trudy. It sounds as though you are being kept busy.

I have a Classic Loaf rising and my rye SD in the oven. I made some Macadamia Anzacs yesterday.

Tested the Wholemeal versions of the Japanese Milk loaf.  Posted on my blog.  Still can’t post photos through Tapatalk.  This is a nice soft easy to make loaf.  Very forgiving.

Trudy nice to hear from you.  Still make your Lemon Muffins
Still experimenting with the Japanese Milk Bread.  Made a small loaf in Bread Machine. Posted on my Blog.   Very easy.  The SD didn’t like the Yudone.  So awful that the dough went into the compost.
Still can’t use Tapatalk.
