Thanks for bumping this - I made bagels for the first time today. I've never really liked them much as the ones I've had before have been really dense. These were soft and fluffy, but still had that chewy texture I associate with bagels. DS was really impressed and ate two. They were really easy to make, although I should have made some of the holes a little bigger.

I love the colour of the berry jam, and Kimmyh, your baking looks fabulous. Tonight I made bread rolls to have with chicken burgers made with Saskia Beer's chicken and tarragon mince. I also made a batch of gluten free lime and raspberry friands.

Yes, I followed CP's method, but used a different recipe which had half milk and half water and bread flour.

Chookie, I'd happily be a rat in your house. That bread looks delicious. We had a friend for dinner tonight, so I made Snappy's chicken curry http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=8925.0 with brown rice and stir fried veggies. For dessert, I made cream puffs filled with creme patisserie, topped with chocolate ganache.

I was give a voucher for my birthday too, and I didn't want to spend it on something boring, so I splurged on a pair of shoes

I made Isi's Portuguese bread, fudgy wudgy cookies with ginger chocolate and friands. This week the friands were raspberry and lime and I used blanched almond meal that I purchased instead of grinding almonds myself. It has a different texture altogether and I can't stop eating them!

You can see the amount of work that you have done on that chair. It looks very neat and professional. I can't wait to see the finished chair.

I made this recently too. I did a large batch in my pressure cooker. I made it all in the pressure cooker as I made the stock first with leftover roast chicken, and then just kept going with the rest of the recipe. It made enough to put some in my parents fridge when they got back from their holiday and for our dinner too.

I've finally got back to cooking. I've entered the Royal show this year, so I'm busy testing recipes. Last weekend I made some mandarin and choc friands, but wasn't overly impressed with the flavour. I also made some ginger Kouign-Amann pastries which were delicious. https://bakingfanatic.wordpress.com/2016/03/29/mini-ginger-kouign-amann/Yesterday I made scones and clementine curd for morning tea. Tonight I made a variation of Kimmyh's quiche and a crusty Vienna loaf

Went to a specialty grocer Bottega Rotolo today and was on my best behaviour and only came out with a fabulous tin of smokey Spanish paprika and a couple of individual chocolates. I was meeting my MIL for lunch and not going straight home, so wasn't tempted by the goodies in the temperature controlled cheese room. I may need to go back.....

Julie, I would love to eat your chowder, beef and chocolate cake. They all look amazing. I took pity on my family as I haven't baked in weeks. I made a ginger slice similar to CC's ginger crunch, but with oats in the base. I also made a double batch of biscuits with a half eaten box of Special K that no one has been eating. I got sick of it taking up space in the cupboard and made a version of cornflake and choc chip biscuit. Just as well that I made a double batch, as half has already disappeared.

We had these for dinner tonight and I really enjoyed them. I used coriander and panko crumbs. I also crumbed zucchini and mushroom, and took cookie's suggestion and served it with a seafood sauce. My mixture was quite runny too, but they turned out fine. I fried the skin from the fillets and served them with a salad.

It was probably my (lack of) accuracy in measuring the chutney. I opened a new jar of chutney which I haven't yet tasted as I didn't have any of the pickle. I also added extra veggies and sprinkled some Parmesan on the mashed potato. My family loved it and would like me to make it again
