Title: Hello from Finland
Post by: serema on January 22, 2015, 03:51:18 pm: Hello From Finland. I ordered a used TM21 Special Edition from Ebay and it doesn't work. It beeps three times and pauses, again three beeps and so on when I turn the speed selector. I think that it might be the security switch at the base.

Does anybody know what these three beeps mean and is the repair manual available from somewhere? I will probably send it back (seller was kochstudio-engel and they are slow to respond to my email and delivery took 3 weeks and so on) but I would really want to use the machine now.

I'm afraid I have never owned a TM21 ( I've owned a TM31 and now have a TM5) so can't help you but I have found the TM21 manual online for you read.

Thanks, I have read it already. Was one of reasons for purchase (that is, the machine will probably do everything I want it to do so no need for more expensive models). It might be that just a few wires are off or something like it.

Thanks, I contacted the Lithuanian distributor. Will turn to Vorwerk if they don't reply.

I am kind of hurry as I will have to do something to the matter next week. If the seller won't reply my emails I will probably initiate an Ebay return process and that means I won't have TM21 for a month or so.

It can be risky purchasing off Ebay, sellers are not always honest. Hopefully the Lithuanian distributor will get back to you and they can arrange for someone to look at the machine,, I hope it's easily fixed and you enjoy your Thermomix experience.

It was kochstudio-engel but they are not replying to my email, will send new email Monday and if they don't reply it will start Ebay return process Wednesday. That just means no TM21 for a month or so.

The real problem will be modifying old recipes to Thermomix. I eat a lot out (there is a lunch coupon system in use here in Finland and my employer gives me one per weekday). Experimenting with new ones will take years. On the other hand I will be very happy if Thermomix makes good porridge, scrambled eggs and risotto. Egg yolk sauces would be definite plus.

Unfortunately it is blood samples day tomorrow so no sparkling wine to the risotto today (I think that 5 cl wine to risotto is enough so that leaves 70 cl for the cook).
