I’ve made pumpkin & lentil soup  https://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=4860.msg61379#msg61379  plus a batch of spinach and ricotta rolls for Vegetarian DD who will be arriving within the hour, weren’t expecting them this soon before Christmas.

I started on the Christmas prep today.  Veggie & rice filling for a vegan baked butternut pumpkin, vegan gravy, cashew cream and vegan white sauce.  These are for our vegan GD.  Jelly, custard for a trifle. I will finish these tomorrow along with the rest of the food.

I was doing much the same as you Mab.
Judy it’s lovely that your DD is arriving early. How long since you have seen her?

OMG, you are all so organised. Normally. I am also, but with Ral home from hospital it is a bit chaotic.  Made a loaf of bread from the light Brioche roll recipe.  Very good.  Cookie, it is the same recipe, except for the powdered milk as the link you posted. I find the first rise, less than an hour and second about 20 minutes. Much faster than stated in any of the recipes I have seen.
I’m baking a Turkey buffet for dinner tonight. Remains cold for lunch tomorrow with prawns and ham. Salads and mangoes and cherries for sweets.  I’ve got the makings of a chocolate ripple cake.  Maybe.
Merry Christmas to everyone if I’m not on here tomorrow. .

This morning I have prepared all the roasting vegetables, finished off 2 trifles, made a chocolate ripple cake, a chocolate vegan mousse. cauliflower & cheese sauce, tomato & onion dish, roasted a turkey roll and set the table.  Still have the fruit salad to make.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I e started preparing my salads and desserts. It is 9am and 34 degrees. I plan to cook the meats this afternoon.
Don’t worry Chookie, it’s most important to have Ral home. I’m sure your family would be happy with vegemite sandwiches on home made bread.

How impressive Chookie. No cooking here today as we are going out for lunch and have left overs for dinner.

Yesterday DH told me that there was plenty of bread, this morning he had to have SD bread for his toast. He prefers the Classic loaf. So I am making bread today and I have my eye on some Apricot buns. It's going to be 39 here again so there will be no problems with the bread rising.
I want to use the new biscuit press but we have plenty to eat at the moment.
