New Jug
« on: May 04, 2012, 01:33:17 am »
Does anyone know how much a new jug is.  I wouldnt mind a second jug and I heard somewhere but cant remember where that there was a way of getting one half price with a demo - or is that just a special promotion every now and then  :)

I believe they are around $400 to buy. And yes they do have promotions at time where you can get a half price jug. I brought my second bowl and blade set at full price, the a month later they had them at half price. But a second bowl is great.

I have two jugs and absolutely would recommend to everyone that if you are able to do it, you should get a second set of bowl and blades as it makes cooking different things so much easier. I use one for savoury meals and the other for desserts and baking etc. it is also handy when you have a lot of food to cook that you are not constantly using and washing the same bowl all day long and you can then alternate between the two.

Could't manage without my second jug.  I also have a second machine,  but only use it for bread demos.  It is packed up in carry bag ,  but find I can manage well with the 2 jugs.

If you count the two jugs that I have for my thermochef, I actually have three.....and I would still love to have another one.  I'm planning to treat myself to one once I am no longer paying school fees for my son......five and a half months and counting....will grade 12 never end!!!!

I was juggling all three bowls last night making the Decadent Triple Chocolate Cheesecake (recipe from here), rich beef casserole, baked chilli beef slice and creme caramel...all for a family dinner for my daughter's birthday tonight.  I can definately recommend multiple jugs (it would have been easier if my kenwood wasn't in hospital!)

I believe they are $90.  I actually got my second one at the same time as the machine as a bonus deal.  The only annoying thing is that you have to be fairly careful when washing them up as you are not supposed to immerse them in water.

2 jugs are definitely the way to go. 3 would be even better. Might consider it if they come up half price again :)
