While at the market yesterday we were looking to buy 2 boned lamb shoulders and they had full lambs for $99 so bought the whole lamb. The butcher boned the two shoulders and cut the rest up for us. I'm sure if it was a good deal but we have a lot of meals worth of meat in the freezer now and we lover lamb.

Buying it whole really is the best way Wonder....you can then request how you want it cut.
Look how much they charge for just a tray of chump chops in the supermarket   :o
.........EAT CAKE!

Obbie how many kilos was it? This was a very lat minute decision and then we forgot to weigh it before cooking the shoulders and putting the rest in the freezer so have no idea if we were ripped off or not. We had never bought anything at this butcher and their English wasn't the best so there wasn't a lot of talk about what we wanted. The shoulders were great and the rest looks good quality.

It sounds a good bargain to me and if the meat is nice it is a great bargain.
