For those who don't want to buy another gadget, I knew I had seen microwaved chips before and I'm sure this was the recipe.  I have just ordered the chipmaker though because it comes with a mandolin and I would be hopeless at trying to cut even sized chips  :-))  Actually I ordered 2, thought DD might like one too.

Thanks for the recipe Judy. I already have a mandolin from Tupperware so might give it a go :)

Too late Judy,  :D ;D
Johnro, yes we are concerned about your going back to work.  :D ;D ;D.
Mcmich, I ordered the same one as you have. I don't think saying that I have had it for ages in the cupboard will  cut it this time.

Oh way to go everyone. LOL
Having very costly repair on my car so no shopping for a VERY long time for me. Major fault found on service and MOT. £1200 estimate.

Oh DJ - those unexpected expenses are a real pain in the neck - we had a wonderful Christmas expense - termites so $7000 later (not terribly happy given our home is 6yrs old!!!). You will really enjoy using the miele oven kt2. I also have the pyrolytic one - only frustration is having to remove all the shelve hangers - how's that for laziness, I need to count my blessings that oven cleaning is so simple!!!! However I am forever thankful that I purchased the gourmet oven dish for the miele  ;D :D :D
