Will be making the curried mince tonight. Once cooked will place in casserole dish and top with thinly sliced potatoes. Will post recipe if it works.

Ok, after all the great ideas and advice and pictures (thanks Gert...but that's not my cup of tea in the dogalog you showed!) I'm taking the lounge cover back for a refund and I'm going to just put up with the lounge as it is.
Although I did find a crocheted (??) rug my Nana made back in the 70's by the look of the colours in it, and I think there's a jumper or 2 of mine in it, so I might throw that over the lounge.
Or take it out the back, spray it with miracle spray and hit it with the pressure cleaner - wonder if that would make a difference!?

People who do carpet cleaning do that so why not give it a go. Don't suppose you have people who do lounge   cleaning there?

A Colorful throw and some mismatched cushions would distract from the crappiness of it.

Of course if you pressure cleaned it and totally ruined it  you would then have an excuse for a new one. Or it could be a statement you can talk about forever.

Eventually you know you will replace it so just live with it.

Been there done that. Covers never work unless they are tailor made.

I guess that is why our grandmothers has antimacassars. Now  that is something Amy won't know ;D

Yes she does Gretchen, she is of the old school. My GS asked her what they were the other day, obviously he has never seen them before.

Went to bunnings and brought 12 solar lights and several plants for our lane. DS help me plant everything. Looks really good. Can't wait for the solar lights to charge. They will look good :)

I didn't know they were called that. I certainly know what they are as Mum had them on the lounge. The latest A Model ford we bought had them too, all the way from the USA.
