Thanks to Gert, I have just ordered new luggage from Peters of Kensington . I am definitely not going back to their website to look at the scales. It would be dangerous to my wallet!

Wish I saw those scales earlier. I got some from Robins Kitchens today.

I got new tongs and some ramekins too.

Also found this great little cookbook 1/2 price.

The Agricultural Society of NSW asked every country show society to submit its best award winning recipes. Of more than 400 submissions, the top 190 made it into this classic collection of home-made favourites.

Incidental images from your favourite country shows depict the atmosphere, fun and rich community spirit in rural Australia.

A percentage of proceeds from the sale of this book will go to individual show societies and to assist country areas.

DG that would be a good book to have. I bet there are some great recipes in there for you to convert for all of us ;)

DG, does the book have a photo of every recipe?
I think I was going to buy this but didn't because of the photos. I love photos.

Bargain Robyn.

Just revamped my wardrobe. I will never be a size 12/14/ possibly 16 again. My rule is,that  when I buy something new I have to throw two items to the Sallies. Did better than that today and now my wardrobe is neat  and tidy with only the things I can actually get into and will wear.

Winner!

I have the same policy Gert. Buy something new (clothes, kitchen, books) something goes to a charity shop, given away or on ebay or gumtree.

Bought a double pack of books from our local Post Office this week - one is on Jams and Chutneys and the other is on Preserving (put out by the UK's Soil Association).  I bought them mainly to get the Preserving book, which is very good.  Gives details on just about every method of preserving - smoking, salting, drying, bottling, jams - even frozen jams!

Michele, sorry for the late reply.
No there isn't a photo with each recipe. It does have a few photos with recipes and some photos taken at country shows.

I give clothing away too salvos, or life line here.

Kids clothing all get passed on to friends, as most are pumpkin patch, which don't wear out.

Did my summer biannual clothes shopping on holiday.
New sun hat as very hot and forgot mine. Now cold and wet again!
3 blouses:  2 short sleeved, 1 long sleeved.
2 prs cropped trousers from White Stuff

Absolute bargain: 4 long sleeved cotton style rugby shirts @£5 each!! Great for outdoor use. Plus 3 more as presents.
1 long sleeved top again @£5, great for outdoors too.

New cookie jar ( union jack)  2 new screw top glass jars, 3 packs of cake tin deep liners, 7", 8", and 2lb loaf tin sizes.

Today bought bedding plants for garden pots, petunias in red (pink), white and blue (purple) and a Union Jack now hanging on the front of the house.
