Followed the chicken tandoori salad tonight with the classic lemon cheesecake. Beautiful. Just like your expect for a classic cheesecake, lovely smooth texture. Will make this many more times and after little effort it will certainly please the crowds. Two modifications. 1. Added extra lemon (I would recommend doing this to taste). 2. I had a blonde moment and made the base of the strawberry meringue cake, instead of the recommended shortbread pastry that is at the start of the book (I think it would be handy if a recipe is required within a recipe, that a pg number would be handy to help find the recipe). The coconut in this base was lovely against the lemon.
Made my own condensed milk with The Opies recipe again.
Such a lovely recipe. Perfect.
Thank you Tenina

Made the choc milk concentrate today.  One word - Yummo!! Made a super quick hot drink for me today and the taste & sweetness was perfect. Will try a choc milkshake from it in the next few days. Thanks Tenina!!
Busy few days from KIS, in the next two days will also be making lemon cheesecake & tandoori chicken. Sorry to post this in the incorrect spot, unsure how to do it correctly.  ???

Have moved it and linked it to the list - JD

20/10

Loved this, my husband made (on request) this as his first effort with the tmx! Very easy, spectacular results and tastes devine.
The tart can easily be shared amongst a big group - a little piece goes a long way - make sure it takes you to the gym!
Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Replaced peppermint oil with 4 tsp peppermint essence. Used Cadbury dream for the white choc & used vanilla extract.

Give it a go!

Recipe Requests / Cooking legumes

Hi, I would love to start replacing tinned chickpeas, kidney beans and Cannelloni beans with ones I've cooked myself. Any suggestions of soaking & cooking times would be greatly appreciated, and whether people use tmx or stove top? TIA

Introduce Yourself / Hello everybody!
« on: February 06, 2012, 02:24:44 am »
Hello everyone, a thermie has been something I've wanted to get "one day" for about 8 yrs, ever since I heard Cyndi O'MEARA talk about them. I took the plunge a month ago and am loving it so far. I hope to continue to feed my family (hubby and 2 boys 5yrs & 1yr) a nutritious diet of wholefoods, and to simplify the ingredients back to what they should be - no numbers, preservatives etc.  look forward to sharing some recipies with such a lovely and generous crew! We live in the north-east suburbs of Melbourne. Have a lovely day.
