Gynea day Mich? ???

Did a 6 km walk at 0730 today.  The first 2 kms were up a very steep goat track, but the rest was downhill, so much easier.

Good on you Amanda, you deserve your lie down ;D

Amanda the cookie recipe looks lovely. They are on my soon to do list. After all your effort you deserved a rest.

I was on my usual afternoon dog walk and I saw a Little Owl I was just about to take a photo when "you know who" with his sniffing in the undergrowth disturbed it and it flew away :-))

Owls are very lovely. We often hear Tawny Owls calling to each other late at night in our lane.I've briefly seen a Barn Owl at twilight.Their flight is so silent.

Off to collect the pool today....shame it won't be ready for tomorrow's 40c day  :(

We've had to borrow a car to get it.....mine went in for a service yesterday, and they have kidnapped it until Thursday   :-))
Apparently front brake pads have worn through, and now the complete brake disks need replacing as a result,  as it was metal on metal.....and will cost $1000 to replace  :o
Hubby not happy, and said wasn't it their job from the last service, to inspect brake pads and inform us if they need replacing sooner than later!....it wouldn't have then got to this stage.....they had no comeback, so hubby said he's only paying for the parts and not the labour.
In the meantime, we requested a courtesy car for me, as we have a bad fire danger day tomorrow, and I need a car to get out if needed.....sorry they said....none available....so need to borrow another car to have here in case.
.........EAT CAKE!

crap customer service Maddy.
If the mechanic did his job properly, He would have written a report to tell you about the brake pads.

Obviously  I look after our customers so much better, but we do pumps.

Yes they should have told you Maddy.
We always tell our customers when things need fixing. This gives the customer time to save some money and the they aren't hit with a huge unexpected bill. We also put it on their invoice as a note. Then we give them an estimated cost of repairs. The note usually reads "Brake pads will need replacing within x amount of kms. Please see attached quote for an estimate of cost to repair"

I find that the big companies like Holden, Ford etc are the ones who have little customer service. And most times you don't even get to talk to the mechanic who has worked on or serviced your car. DH always makes time to talk to every customer, no matter how busy he is.
