Yesterday I was given a large bunch of spinach, small bunch of kale, bunch of really nice parsley (much better than mine!), large bunch of rhubarb and a jar of home bottled olives.  So my cupboard cleaning exercise has been put on hold now until I cook up this garden produce.

I've made a batch of kale pesto and still have 1 dish to make with the remainder of the kale.

The spinach was used as an extra ingredient in Chelsea's Sausage & Lentil Hotpot   http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=13594.msg300105#msg300105 and 2 recipes from Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall's River Cottage Veg Everyday cookbook.  They were Spiced Spinach & Potatoes and Puy Lentl & Spinach soup (I only made enough for 2 serves of each of these recipes).

All that cooking looks really tasty.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

It was fun researching recipes to make cookie, I spent more time doing that than the actual cooking.

Well done Judy. I also find it fun but also quite a challenge using up what is available. I had 3 pears that have been hanging around for ages. Made the Pear and Spice cake. Really just a nice butter cake with spice and pears.

Used a larger pan and the pears disappeared into the batter. Tasted nice but not spectacular.

I was given a large bunch of silverbeet in mixed colours yesterday so need to find something to use it up.   I was also given oranges and lemons and a couple of limes.
