Still cold in Perth, but rain expected for the weekend so temperatures should rise a bit.
Your day out sounds like fun Chookie.
I have a regular craft morning on here, then going to visit DD and GK's, they have been to Noosa & Goldcoast for 2 weeks so it will be great to hear all their news.
I will do make some muffins to take along with the tonne of Spag Bol I made yesterday.

Good morning everyone, dry here today too.  I took the kids to see Ice Age and visited Morpeth Chookie - they are good when out but fight when home, it drives me crazy.  Today is our Probus Club monthly meeting then we're all going off to a local hotel for Christmas in July. Enjoy your day in Bendigo. Katj, have a lovely day with your family.

That sounds like typical children Judy.
Katj, at least you don't have a long distance to travel now. I'm meeting up with a couple of friends for lunch before school goes back on Monday.

A sunny day but a very cool wind.Chance found yet another tennis ball out on our walk this morning. For some reason he dropped it so it didn't make it home.

Morning all.
Very cold again. Creswick Farmers market today.
Yesterday, had a lovely day at the Sheep and Wool show in Bendigo. There are many very creative people happy to share their knowledge. Truly inspirational.
There is an item in the Melbourne Age newspaper, ( Huff Post ), on Sour Dough Bread. Well worth a read. Except for the bit about throwing out 1/2 the starter when you feed it, I agree with everything in the process described.
When I brought some of my Cherokee starter to Invermay, it changed character slightly.  I thought it was sulking. They explain that the yeast in each environment is different, and that the starter will take on/ change to this new yeast. Wow, I learn something new each day.

Good morning everyone, blue skies here today.

Chookie do your SD loaves taste any different in Invermay than those baked at Cherokee or is it just the texture of the starter itself that's different?
