I tend to think that for the amount of mix and with all the chocolate in there that the egg may be able to be left out.

Just wondering if you only have imitation vanilla in the cupboard what the quantity should be for that?

The biscuits look lovely!

No essential I wouldn't think - but try one teaspoon to start.

I made them this morning - how quick and easy.  I didnt have any chocolate chips, so just broke asmall block of organic dark chocolate into chunks, popped in TM on 5 til the were smallish.
I always use a round tablespoon measure when making biscuits, that way they are uniform in size and often shape.
I also double baked mine to make them chrunchy.
Great recipe! Thanks.

Why pay for chocolate chips when you can make them yourself?  I do the same thing for any recipe that requires chocolate chips.  One less thing to have in the pantry (which is growing due to different seeds, nuts, flours etc).

I obviously haven't been paying attention to things, have I! :-))
I had no idea that these cookies had become so popular, I will have to hunt down the black bean brownie recipe now, too!
Re the imitation vanilla essence - please throw it out!!  It is well and truly worth the small amount of extra money to buy the natural essence, vanilla bean paste or vanilla beans themselves!

I'm a bit like Judydawn,  I like my biscuits to look even.    I use a icecream scoop.   I have various sizes, so decide what would suit each mix.    Also use scoop to make fish cakes.

I've never frozen cookie dough before, but could this recipe be doubled, and half frozen?
