Helping DD pack, she is off to Europe tomorrow night and she is only allowed 20kg on a contiki tour, try telling a 20yr old that a hair straightener is not a necessity  :-)), not much else today just general cleaning etc

My daughter did  a few Contiki  trips in her youth and never took more than she could put in the overhead rack of the plane . She survived. For years after I kept getting backpackers on my door step. Never let Your daughter give out your  home address!!!LOL!

I'm with your DD, a hair straightener is definitely a necessity, I travel a lot for work and quite a bit for pleasure and would never leave home without it. I have over the years managed to buy a fantastic mini one that takes up no space and is just as powerful as the top range full size ones.

I don't see why it matters if your hair is curly or straight. We are who we are and we've got what we've got ;)

But there is nothing wrong with wanting to be the best possible you Amy!  I'm another one addicted to my hair straightener!

My youngest daughter and daughter in law have been known to iron their hair ..... On a lowish setting.... They both have lovely curls.   They use hair straighteners nowadays.

My DH was absolutely levelheaded, smart, sensible, well travelled, and savvy.......until,she got on those Contiki buses. Must be something in the on board air that makes them all go crazy.  In those days there were no mobile phones. A bonus for me!
