It's a beautiful day here in Adelaide so I decided on an outing for Mum and Geoff.  We walked around to get Mum, boarded the train not far from her place and got off at the nearest station to Semaphore Beach - only about 7 stops from our neck of the woods.  A long walk down Semaphore Road where we bought fish and chips from our favourite fish shop (25 minute wait, that's how many people were lined up) then sat on the nature strip enjoying our lunch.  Wandered into some shops then back to the train, having no idea when it was due.  As luck would have it, 1 minute after we arrived - thank goodness my 90 year old Mum didn't need a rest on the 1 km walk back to the station.  She pushed the wheelchair most of the way back as it held her up.  My bet is she is currently fast asleep in her favourite chair - she did well for her age.  Lovely day.

Robyn, sorry I won't be coming up your way......I can't swim and it seems to be a pre requisite at the moment.

Judy, how lovely. I'm sure a good time was had by all. Lots of lovely fresh air for Geoff and your Mum.  You too of course.

Hi GHM :D Glad to hear you are home safe after a relaxing holiday. I waved, did you see me? ;D
Ha ha I did Amy, I had two trips to Albany, love the Dome there and went kayaking on the river near the caravan parks, not sure of the name but the river had giant rocks in it a lot of fun.

Bought too many books while the rest of the house was slumbering - curse online shopping!
Went out to brunch.
Baked brownies.
Picked blackberries for 1 1/2 hours.
Ate brownies.
Will now recline on the sofa for a quiet read I think.

She sure is  8)

well I managed to exhaust my family today  :P
after a big day at the horse arena, I dragged them to 2 antique & collectible warehouses....still on the hunt for a vintage green tray like Jamies (15 min.).....I did find one very close, same colour, but I was concerned that the 1940's paint would contain lead....so I left it there  :(
Then we went to see the wrinklies, then out for Chinese for dinner....think we made it home at 9 PM  :P....everyone pushing out zzzz's, but I'm catching up on recorded ghosty shows.  Just  watching one about the infamous Lizzie Borden house.....completely creepy, my perfect night time viewing   :D
.........EAT CAKE!

Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother 40 whacks.  When she saw what she had done gave her father 41!

Today I am moving into town  to a penthouse on the waterfront. I will be looking after two maltipoos for the next 10 days  ALL BY MYSELF!

What an adventure Gretchen and are those puppies in for a surprise  :D :D  Have a great 10 days, it will seem like a holiday - is there a pool in the complex, you will miss yours if not.
