Making a big pot of chicken stock for another lot of chicken soup tomorrow.  I've been living on it this winter.

MIL always appreciates effort and thoughtfulness, she is an amazing woman and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit today. We also went to the Canningvale markets where I found some gorgeous and reasonably priced strawberries and a 10kg box of tomatoes, so I have been making jam and tomato paste, and chopping the rest of the tomatoes since we got home. I had completely underestimated my little one's love of jam and we were nearly out of my jars from summer. Just an entirely pleasant day really.

That's lovely Kristy.  Only dinner was cooked here.

Sadness :( My prolonged cooking session provoked that nasty c144 error and thermie needs to go to hospital. At least I got it all done.

Oh that is not good news. What happens at C144?

The error reads that the lid isn't on and /or the jug isn't in properly. It is of course, but once the error comes up once, it starts coming more often and eventually thermie just won't run as it won't register the lid. Apparently it's to do with the sensor.
It's a reasonably quick service issue that alot of people have had and my lovely consultant has already sent a service request for me. So hopefully I will get a quick turnaround and be back to normal soon.

Thank goodness that you finished all your cooking before that happened Kristy.

Interesting looking slice Obbie.

I made Vegetable, Bacon & Pasta Soup for lunch.

I boiled up some yucky bits of chicken this morning and have the stock setting so I can skim the fat. I'll make a warming soup for dinner tonight to go with our Potato Pie, or I guess I should call it Shepherd's Pie.
