Another honey tip is to heat the honey for a short while in the microwave and it makes it very liquid.

Great size trays TMXer. May have to head down to the kitchen shop and see if they have some. I currently freeze excess sorbet in icypole moulds.

Thanks. Will put it on my next weeks menu.

It's thrilling the way a few words can mean so much.

I will ask DD tonight when she gets home from work if she remembers doing it. She probably will, she has a memory like an elephant.

I'm sitting down going through many ,many years of collected recipes. From the ones in a lovely sheoak box my new (at the time) DH made me, to heaps of scrapbooks with pasted in ones and exercise books and on and on.
Within the the recipes on lovely card is one my DD wrote out at least 19 years ago, from the writing she must have been 10-12. It is set out on card and marked with 3 dots which I use to signify if we liked the recipe or not.  Here it is. I suggest you don't make it but your children or grandchildren may wish to!

Maggie's Mudpies...

One cup dirt
1/2 cup water
Tasty additions: small pebbles, dried leaves, bugs, plastic toys, worms

Mix thoroughly.  Shape into pies (or cupcakes).  Bake on a hot side-walk for 15 mins. Eat. Or wear.

I haven't seen it before and I just love it.  Shows you how long since I looked in this box of recipes!  Not sure if you would wish to convert it to TMX.

OMG I have lived in Australia since I was born and I have never come across that before. I think I had better try it. Think DH will have to drink the half can of beer though.

We love the Tikka paste. I keep meaning to make some paneer to have with it but have been too lazy.

Non Food Recipes / Re: Washing Machine Powder
« on: January 13, 2010, 06:36:05 am »
I use about 1 1/2 tablespoons of the washing powder and then add sard powder. Will give it a try as soon as I finish this lot.
We had to buy a front loader when we built this house. We had the laundry made larger, but then the day we shifted in I found that I couldn't close the back door with the washing machine there. We had got rid of the big glass sliding doors in the laundry and changed  them for a normal door. It was only a few mm out. So....................off to buy a front loader! I am quite happy with it.
