Best wishes to you and your DH Hally and also to the rest of the family.

Robyn, you are being a good friend.  Being there at such a difficult time is the best you can do for her and I'm sure you are a great support for her at this very sad time.

DD you did well at short notice.  Like you, I prefer a few day's notice myself as there is so much you can do ahead of time to take the stress off the day.  I'm sure both sets of visitors enjoyed their time with you both and now you have a whole day to get over it  ;D

CC your photo is in stark contrast to the last one when everything was covered with snow.  Great catch with the rainbow.

My boys played cricket and soccer  :o
I love soccer so I really enjoyed it but cricket was very boring.
I used to take a book,a thermos full of coffee, some nibbles and then I really enjoyed the cricket ;D
GS 10 plays soccer, footy, golf and is a surf fanatic but so far no cricket ;)

Robyn I'm sorry to hear about your friends husband.  How sad.

What a beautiful rainbow CC, rainbows always bring a smile to my face.

Great effort DD! Hope you got to put your feet up for a bit after at the end of the night.

I was glad to hear your DH has flown to be at his DM's bedside Hally, hugs and best wishes.

Your friend will need all the support she can get for a while Robyn, nice that you are there for her.

Cricket non-lovers - why not take your iPads along with you so that you can be on the forum when the cricket gets boring  ;)

Judy it's a bit hard to be on the forum and watching the kids and flying cricket balls relaxing on the rug whilst keeping watch was hard enough ;D;D
