Sounds good. What size scoop and soak for how long please?
Overnight normally does the trick and about a tablespoon per litre but does not seem to matter.

Hi Tim, nice to have another gentleman on the forum.  Hope you get to buy the new model pretty soon but the one you have will certainly keep you going until then. Do you do all the cooking at home?
I do a lot of cooking at home, everything from making my own pasta through to jams, chutneys cordials etc. Love trying nee things and experimenting. Homemade bread everyday. I am also a Health and safety inspector which means I get to inspect kitchens in education facilities both commercial and student kitchens. I am a self confessed foodie.

Bread / bread improver
« on: February 08, 2011, 05:43:56 pm »
I when I make bread by hand or in my breadmaker I use improver which makes the bread last for much much longer, in fact it doe not go solid like it can do if you keep homemade bread. Is anyone else using it? Any suggestions or tips for use in TM? ::

Bread / Re: Fresh yeast vs Dry yeast

Morrisons sell it!  Four small blocks for under a £1 or search for it on Ebay its really easy to find.  Tip: dried or fresh? how much is needed?  if recipe calls for 7g fresh then 3.5g of fresh does the same job and visa versa.

Ok heres a safe solution to ALL burnt pans, dirty grill trays and pyrex dishes (if you have any). This tip came from my very aged grandmother who still cooked on a solid fuel range right up to the day she died: soak the offending item in hot water with a scoop full of washing powder. Works every time without fail!

Introduce Yourself / Happy owner of a 3300

Just a quick message to introduce myself: My name is Tim, I am the owner of a very old 3300 which is doing sterling work until such time that I can afford the latest model.
I am really impressed by this clever piece of kit which is enhancing our kitchen and cooking. At the moment we are going through all our kitchen units deciding what we don't need and can sell on ebay so that we can afford a new TM31. So far we have quite a pile of stuff which will on longer be required.
