I agree- the best thing with any electric pressure cooker is you dont have to be around to wait for it to come to pressure- you set either high or low pressure and when it comes to pressure the electronic timer kicks in and when it's done it reverts to keep warm mode- so basically- set and forget.
Also, as the TM makes such great rice I have done away with my rice cooker and the pressure cooker does a great job of sauteeing or browning meat before you chuck everything together that I dont often use the stove for browning first either.

Whatever type you get, after using it for a while, I'd be very surprised if you don't wish you'd bought one years ago.  I do, they are that good.  The flavour they get out of food is amazing.  Good luck with your choice.  :D

Oh dear Maddy, I haven't had that sort of problem with flybuys before. They are usually pretty good.

I know....this is the first time I've had to wait soooooo long!
I would understand if this was a new item, or they are sparse in the stores....but there's plenty of them around  ???

Maddy, this is probably too late for you now and I'm not sure how Fly Bys works, but just going on something I did with my reward points connected to my credit card a couple of years ago.

DH and I were going to Adelaide that weekend and I wanted to get a TomTom, advertised as worth $199 in the rewards catalogue.  I had enough points but would have to pay $15 postage and it would take about 10 days to arrive.

Wanting it for that weekend, instead I chose to redeem some of the points and get $200 cash back onto my credit card which only took 2 days, I then went and had a look around town and found the same one on sale for $149.  Used the credit card as that was were the credit went to, so I was better off especially not having to pay the postage and I had it immediately.

Before I closed the account, I cashed in my points to my account again, so had to pay less when I closed it.  :)

LOL...probably not Judy, but I have their number, so there will be double cranky Maddy if she has to chase them up!   ;D

Julie...smart thinking, although I'd hate to see how long it would take FLYBUYS to send me the credit  :-))

I'm happy with my 8L Scanpan, stove top pressure cooker. It is easy to use, and will outlast an electric pressure cooker.

I've just come across this site.  Fair bit of reading, but it may be of some help. Seems her favourite is the Kuhn Rikon followed by the Fagor.
