Thank you Gretchen  :-*

I love the finish of these rolls Uni, I think they are the best looking rolls I've made so far - usually my tops are not as smooth as I would like.  I was going to use pepitas like you but my large pack had evidence of pantry moth developing in them so from now on I will buy only small quantities and keep it in the freezer as I do like them on top of bread.

i think i will make these agian tomorrow without the egg in the mixture and less sugar.

i added the poppy seeds in the egg wash, once i  brushed the egg i added the  pepitas then  brushed them with more egg wash to seal the slippery little buggers  ;D

All the rolls look lovely girls. Today I had a big cooking day. My DS 22yrs is coming up from Sydney for Easter.
I want to send him home with all of his favourites for the freezer....Sooo it was lasagna, chicken fried rice, curried sausages
and roast lamb. Tomorrow I will make some biscuits and slices.

those buns are on my list!

Going away for Easter with ALL the family (DH + 3 offspring). Going to take TM with me, but so I don't have to take so much I have weighed and prepared ingredients as much as possible into labelled "meal bags", so its going to be a breeze and we are not having to cart as much food. The only things that I haven't added to each bag are milk, water,  butter, eggs and will add when required.

This is what I prepared:
2 x Choc Hot Cross buns (think it may be chookies recipe)
a Bread recipe to make rolls
Spaghetti Bolognese (EDC, cooked, cooled and bagged)
dry mix of monkeyboysmum Cheesey Sauce
Chocolate Crunch (dede's) with choc icing
Sundried Tomato pesto (Tenina's)
vac packed cookies Tuna macaroni ingredients - (but not the tuna tin for Good Friday, in case DH can't catch any fish  :-)))
Tenina's Pecan Dacquoise

there are shops in Margaret River, so we will be able to buy food. Does everyone get the idea of what I did, or would you like a pic?

OMG, and also for dinner tonight, it was chookies Baked Spice & Rosemary Drumsticks, Mashed Potato, and steamed spinach.

You sound very organized CP.

It seems like everyone is going away for Easter.  DW and I are having our first Easter completely by ourselves. We are just staying home and relaxing.

DD1 is in America she has just finished a visit with her grandparents on her way to Los Angels, Las Vegas and finally Palm Springs for a 3 day music festival. DD2 is off to Tom Price for a Camp Drafting Clinic.

Did you like the finished product Uni - was there a big difference in those dipped and not dipped?

What started out as Easter Sunday dinner with Mum coming over has turned into the entire family coming.  For various reasons they are all now staying home for Easter.  So I've gone from cooking for 1 guest to cooking for an extra 10.

So, made a big pot of pumpkin soup and put in the freezer yesterday.  Making two sticky date puddings today, will put in the freezer.  Beef and Guinness casserole tomorrow in the slow cooker, always tastes better when left to mature for a day or so.  Will reheat with dumplings on top.  Saturday will prep everything else, vegies, caramel sauce, dips etc.

I'm glad I was given a bit of warning, so I can be organised.  Sunday will be a quick tidy up and set the table.
