Technologically challenged new member
« on: January 22, 2010, 10:23:44 pm »
Hello all.
Just like to introduce myself. After being a member for some months my mother (who is in her 60's)  finally helped her (me) technologically challenged daughter  :-\ and showed me how to post a message  ;D. I have been able to read lots of posts, what a wonderful lot of people you all are and such an amazing source of inspiration and information, but how to introduce myself was beyond me. So here I am. I am a passionate TM user and have had mine for 18mths. My primary reason for getting a TM was health and wanting to remove additives from my family's diet (1 husband, 3 sons, a whippet, 6 hens and 3 guinea pigs) :D :D. The TM has helped with this goal above and beyond my expectations.  I use my TM usually a minimum of 3 times a day and often more. In fact I love my TM so much that I am training to become a consultant in Central Victoria - Bendigo area. I'll be underway early Feb. I am a little nervous about it all and excited about being able to share and show people the amazing things the TM can do.
Cheers

Welcome Earth Mumma and congrats on your first post  ;)  I'm in NE Victoria so not that far away & a consultant. Are you training in Melb in Feb? There is another member on here from NE Vic who will also be training in Feb which is really exciting!! All the very best with your training and future as a consultant. It's an exciting time and the interest growing in incredible!

Looking forward to some of your recipes in the future!

Hello I Love Bimby.
I am actually doing my training right here in Bendigo.  We were lucky enough to have 3 of us wanting to become consultants in this area so Janine decided to come here and do the training with us here rather than us having to go to Melb.  I have my first Demo booked for the 4th Feb  ;D, which I am very nervous about but they are people I know so that will help calm the butterflies.
Cheers

That's great! Actually we have 3 booked in for training from here in Feb, and Janine has talked about conducting training up here....

You'll be fine with your demo's. I can still clearly remember how terrifying my first demo was, but out of it I sold 3  ;D.  You're an experienced user and have a passion for thermomix. That's the main thing and guests will see the passion!  :-*

Welcome earth mumma - good to hear your mother is still looking out for you  ;) ;D ;D  MrsT has no idea about computers - but gets upset when she is reminded of such.

I was very computer illiterate and, don't worry, I have joined sites and spent hours trying to work out how it all works - some i have just given up.  I know that teenagers run rings around me - without instruction books

Good luck with consulting.

SOMETIMES it is good to be surrounded by teenagers at home lol

Welcome Earth Mumma!! Congratulations on becoming a consultant as well. don't stress over it too much, it is a lot of fun  :D and I found it much easier than I thought it would be - I think that was because I was an experienced user as well and didn't have to even think about what I was doing with the TMX and could just concentrate on my demo :D

Make sure you add your details to the consultants list  ;) ;)

Welcome to the forum earth mumma, after having had your TMX for so long, the demonstrations should be a breeze as you will know your machine backwards - ha ha you do have to work backwards don't you  :D :D  Good on your Mum teaching you the computer basics to enable you to read and post on here - that is a little unusual, Mum teaching daughter.  Good luck with your training next month.

Welcome Earth mumma. As you have said the forum is a wonderful place.
My DH doesn't even know how to turn on the computer. If he wants to know something about Model A's we have to find it for him!!! Yet he can repair old cars as it is second nature to him.
My DD has to teach me as I'm the one in their 60's. (only just)

You can go to the thread here http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1297.0

For your contact details use the form [_email=your email address]email me here[/email_]- but you have to replace your email address with your email address and also   delete the _ from each end to have people be able to send an email without the email address being visible for prying computers.

Hope that is clear as lake Weeroona mud

It's easy JD! Thermomixer had to put in those lines at each end of the code, otherwise the code wouldn't show up to us.

Welcome Earth Momma! You'll be whizzing your way around this forum in no time at all!

A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Thanks MJ - now I get it. Copy & paste and where he has said 'your email here' that's where you type it. Got it  ;)
