Your dreaded once-a-year job cookie, it probably doesn’t get any easier for you.

Another day of grey skies, cold and wet.  We will need to rug up today when we go out.

Oh, Cookie, I really feel for you and that paper work. Had to do similar for my brother.  At least DH appreciates what you are doing. Also take some pride in the fact that you have the skills to do it.
Another cold one today.
Yesterday gave away most of the SD crumpets to our neighbours. They really love them.
Looking forward to the weekend.  We are going on a Truffle hunt followed by a meal.

That sounds exciting Chookie. I hope youo get to keep what you find!
A friend of DD's went to a High Tea that featured truffles on the weekend. I haven't heard what she thought. DD was invited but wasn't sure how she would enjoy truffles with sweet things.

The White Truffles are $1000 a kilo.  I think these will be the brown ones.  Not so expensive.

Still cold.  3 at 8 am. 8 max.  I really don’t mind it.  I rug up and put my hat on and go outside.  Good weather for baking also. We have had light misty rain for the last 2 days.
I have been watching the antics of a Magpie family.  They have a young one that the mother is trying to make independent.  She stands off and watches it poking the lawn looking for worms. Yesterday, in frustration it gave up and lay on its back with feet in the air.
Aussie won the 11 th stage of Le Tour.  Terrific effort.

Good morning everyone.  A little bit of sunshine this morning but still quite cold.
I did a quick trip to the shops early this morning to pick up an item and it wasn't in.  Damn now I will have to go back.
DH went to the chemist yesterday to pick up a prescription, waited in line for 10 mins, plenty of staff all doing very little.  One man had even bought a book to read whilst waiting.  Service these days is so bad.

DD went into the city on the weekend and said she waited for quite some time in a couple of places and gave up eventually. It makes me cross when they are standing around chatting about their weekend etc.

Chookie I had a laugh at the baby magpie. Good on it.

Hi Everyone, hope your all well.  My new TM6 arrived at the weekend.  Have been trying to use it everyday.  Have used the guided cooking as well as a couple of my own.  It’s a lot different to my TM31 but I am sure if you have the TM5 it would be very similar.

Wayne and I are going to Singapore for two weeks next week.  I am trying to be able to attend a cooking class there.  Have booked into one for my ZUG steam oven which I am really looking forward to.  Here in Adelaide there are no classes available so will be interesting to see what they do.  Fingers crossed I also manage to attend a TM one.

That’s exactly what I would do Chookie!

Have a nice holiday Trudy, I hope you can find a TM class over there.
