Slow starter.
« on: November 29, 2011, 09:30:49 am »
Hello everyone, I've been reading this forum for a couple of months, just got the courage to join, thank-you for all the wonderful information and tips. I have had my Thermomix for about four months and love it.  This is my first forum and I'm not sure where my first message went.  I made the lemon concentrate cleaner this morning and have been cleaning the house, love it, although I did wash the floor with it and its a bit slippery in bare feet, but a nice shine.
Hope to have something to contribute to you all in exchange for all your great ideas.
I live on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

Welcome to  the Forum Brenda. I also have a few messages floating around in cyber space so don't let this put you off.  Use the recipes here and contribute when you have something to share.

Hi Aussie Brenda, welcome to the forum.  How did you last 2 months before coming in to join us :o :o  Your first message would be in cyberspace like a lot of messages from people like Chookie (as she has already admitted), myself and many others - forums were new to us too but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature.  Any contributions are welcome and I look forward to your future posts.

Hi Brenda and welcome!  Glad that you joined us.  I live in Phillip Island so I'll wave across the bay to you next time in Cowes!  I actually don't contribute much in the way of recipes because I now mainly cookforum recipes  in the tmx and can't remember what I used to cook before! So I don't have lots of conversions to offer.  I do try and comment on the forum recipes I've tried however, as I think that's useful too, in it's own way.  We all contribute to the forum in our own way and I think that's waht makes it such a dynamic place.  Lesley

Hi Brenda and welcome to the forum. Like Lesley, I rarely contribute recipes as I am not a natural cook and nearly always cook using recipes from the forum - there are enough here to keep me going for years.

Welcome Brenda. I am not a confident cook, I rely on recipes here to cook using my thermie.  With so many on here I don't even look at my old non thermie recipes anymore LOL.

Take care and I llok forward to reading about your new cooking adventure

Thank-you everyone for the warm welcome, I to haven't opened any of my hundreds of cook books since the thermy arrived, I think i might donate them, with the internet at hand there doesn't seem a need for them. Being on my own I was getting very slack with the cooking but now really enjoy creating new taste sensations and not having to stand over the stove is a joy, making my own butter(with a little olive oil) was fascinating and so quick.  I think my friends get sick of me raving about the machine, but they enjoy tasting the food.
