Oh I did thanks girls.  A beautiful theatre in Gawler, north of Adelaide. Morning tea & lunch served in our seats before and after a great movie, "Elsa & Fred" (Shirley McLean & Christopher Plummer). Lunch was a plate of mixed sandwiches, home made individual Christmas pudding with hot custard, wine and coffee. They had a raffle in aid of the recent fire in that area with money raised going direct to one of the country town's volunteer fire service.  This week in the second theatre they're hosting all the school kids from the fire affected area for a free movie, popcorn and drink - how good is that!

One of the Facebook pages I am a member of is for ideas for Xmas (or any occasion) gifts.  There have been some really good ideas and recipes on there and I have been amazed at the sheer volume and the collections of gifts made by some people for their kids' teachers, the pre-school care teachers', gifts for everyone in the kids' classes, etc. 

I was beginning to feel that there was something way out of balance and was pleased to read a post on Facebook earlier this week (I think it was on TRTLMT's ) about a 'reverse' advent box whereby you fill a box with gifts for a homeless person and give it to someone personally or to one of the charities at Xmas time.  Suggestions were to avoid drugs, etc., but to give items that are necessities or a treat, food that doesn't need to be cooked or heated, personal care items, if giving something in a tin make sure it has a pull tab or else include a can opener, etc.  I am thinking about getting a box started this weekend so I will have to give some thought to the first 12 or so days of the month so far which I have missed then add something on a daily basis until Xmas.  I love the idea, but I think it could be a challenge by the time day 24 comes around.
