Chit Chat / Fundraising Ideas for World Challenge
« on: October 01, 2012, 01:41:31 am »
Hi All

I'm just after some fundraising ideas for my 15 year old son who will be doing the World Challenge to Cambodia next December. This will be a travelling expedition where he will help the children who are less fortunate. It will be a 3 week challenge and it costs over $5000.

There will be 18 children going from his school and they will do some fundraising things as a group but we are keen to do some of our own fundraising.

Has anyone got any ideas on fundraising that have worked well. My son suggested I make up a cookbook and sell them for $5. Has anyone else had any experience in making one. I would make it non TMX as in our town I would say there would only be about 15 people who own one out of a population of 3000.

I think this would be a great experience for my son and hopefully he will appreciate why living in Australia is sooooo great.

Thanks  :) :) :) :)

Recipe Requests / Vegetable Bake
« on: July 08, 2012, 07:14:45 am »
Hi,
Just wanted a recipe for a vegetable bake. Either one that you just chuck all of the veggies in or one that has roasted veggies in it. I have had one before somewhere and loved it but not sure what was in it. My preferred veg are potato. pumpkin, carrots, onion and zucchini. Not sure if you need a sauce over top or just some feta or something. Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Hi,
We are shearing here at the end of this week. Any ideas for a chicken mornay or casserole. Just a basic recipe would be great. Would rather a tmx recipe but would not have to be. My husband has suggested making casseroles as it is so cold here. So I will be making a tuna mornay, beef casserole in my slow cooker and wanted something with chicken, so any ideas would be great. Also need to make morning and afternoon tea so I wanted a nice savoury scone recipe. Are making EDC Sticky date pudding for dessert, hope to make these the day before in muffin cases and just make the sauce on the day.
Thanks

Chit Chat / What are your Favourite Pizza Toppings
« on: April 23, 2012, 12:00:56 am »
Hi
Now that I have ordered my pizza maker I would like to know of everyone's favourite pizza toppings. I have a fussy DS who will only eat ham, cheese and pineapple but would love some more ideas. I love pumpkin and avocado so any ideas with these items would be great and any other great combinations. Can't wait for my pizza maker to turn up.

Thanks

Chit Chat / What Pizza Maker to Buy
« on: April 12, 2012, 04:29:59 am »
Hi,
Were just thinking about buying a pizza maker, does anyone own one and which brand is best. Have looked at the The Pizza Maker Just pizza red one as they have it out for $129 inc postage. Does anyone own one of these and if so are they good. Would make own base but just thought it would be handy to have the cooker.
Thanks :)
