CC ain't it great how good a quiche can be using up all the bits. Love the same as a fritatta when you can' the bothered with pastry . Both simple and delicious.

Love to see all the pics of things people make. Very inspiring.

I have liberated the duck from the freezer. Now what to do with that quacker?

Mmmm duck, so many lovely recipes around Gert, I'm sure you'll find something that appeals  :D

Thanks for the nice comments girls, it's been a while I know.  I think I've only taken 1 photo since last March  :o

I love seeing other peoples photos too, so I will make more of an effort to take more.  ;D

Thinking I will slow cook it today, then I will have stock to make a duck and mushroom risotto tomorrow. Also found some previous duck stock in freezer to add to it. Sounds like a good plan. Bought some Wahoo yesterday so healthy fish dish today.

Some of the tastiest recipes are made with bits of this and that, glad your quiche turned out well CC.

I have some lovely fresh beetroot from Karen's garden - I've been through all my recipe books to see what I can do with them and there are more recipes than you can poke a stick at (or have enough beetroot to do) so I'll have to now decide what to do with them.  Perhaps half quantities of risotto and relish from QFEO to start with and a juice I've done before.  Thanks Karen, I love fresh produce from home gardens.

Judy, fresh beetroot is our favourite here you are so lucky having them fresh from Karen's garden. We really love the beetroot salad from Tenina's merry christmas ebook, I've been subsituting the dressing with pomegranite molasses and thinks it tastes even better.

Great photos and meals everyone, I'm jealous. Not much cooking here as DH and I are both working long hours at the moment and kids have been in and out so simple quick throw together meals.

It's definitely going to be salad weather here for the next week or so Wonder (hopefully not too much longer) and I do like beetroot salads too.  Apart from those already mentioned, I've tagged a pizza recipe, a halwa, a Russian salad, an orangey beetroot salad and a beetroot curry - would probably need Karen's whole crop to do all those though  ;D

Arcadia cream of mushroom is the one can of soup I always have in the pantry. Useful for so many things.

Baked chicken drumsticks and veggies, clearing space in my freezer for ice cream! Used some fancy garlic @ lemon olive oil I got for Xmas on the chook, smells good.
