Yeah Judy, glad it's all coming together.
They don't book respite in advance - so you can't plan anything - ridiculous.

Judy, give a big thankyou to DH and SIL. It will be lovely to meet you and everyone else in person.

So happy for you that everything is finally working out Judy.  The break will be such fun.  You'll have to make sure you pamper yourself some time as well when you are over in WA - don't let Gretch lead you (too far) astray - and you've got to watch Chookie as well!

Woohoo Judy what fantastic news. Once you get your flights organised you will be ready for a weekend of pampering.

All booked, how easy was that.  The sick feeling in my stomach has now turned to excitement -  a much better feeling.

Thanks for your support girls, you have no idea how much I appreciate it.  I would also like to reveal now that the lovely Michele offered to come over to Adelaide and care for DH herself so that I could have this lovely break. Isn't that wonderful, I always thought you were a real sweetie Michele and I was certainly right. I can't wait to give you a special hug when we meet up in W.A.

Off to pm Hally with my arrival times.  :-* :-* :-* :-*

In other words don't bother ringing us . Just what is respite care for? Someone had to die the day before you can get in?  We love your SIL!

Anyone coming from Tassie?

So even if you had an emergency - heart attack and was admitted to hospital you have to ring up and hope they have a bed available? And we have one of the better health systems?

Judy, it would have been a pleasure.
Many years ago when my first husband passed away I didn't want nurse anymore - not qualified for anything else  (don't know how many times MacDonald's knocked me back) and found a job as a carer for people with disabilities and the elderly staying in their homes. It was the one of the best experiences ever.

I can imagine how well you would be suited to it too Michele - people like you are desperately needed so I'm glad you didn't give it away.  Those who get you as their carer are indeed very lucky people.  :-*
