I hope your Open Day went well Chookie. I think of Cornwall when I see Rhododendrons as they grow prolifically there.

Spent 7 hours again at the new care facility, still a few care issues to sort out in coming days.  Geoff won the jackpot at bingo today, 5 cents a game and the jackpot was $4.50. The day seems to go fairly quickly but after tomorrow I will have to cut back the hours as I'm getting nothing done at home.

Judy , you have put in an amazing effort to get your Mum and Geoff settled.
Have cleaned out all the cupboards and wardrobes in guest wing. We take a load of things to Invermay each time we return from Cherokee. Giving as much away as possible.
Made Trudys lemon muffins without TMX. Not nearly as nice but need something on hand for all the visitors we are having. They do reheat well in the microwave.

I went for blood tests this morning.  It was a fasting one so now I am enjoying a cuppa and some toast.

Thanks Chookie, I'm easing back today and the kids are being dropped off at the home so it will only be a quick visit.
There are some nice op shops in Ballarat which would take anything you cannot find a home for. I bet you're finding things you didn't even know you had with the clean out.

DIL is taking me Christmas shopping today and for the first time ever I know exactly what I am buying each person. :) :)

Yes CC, I have bought all my Christmas presents.  Some are gifts and some are vouchers.  I will still pick up a few small items for the little ones but other than that it's all done. :D :D

Mab, that is wonderful.
Daughter gave Ral an envelope containing vouchers for several coffee shops around Ballarat, for Xmas last year. We have thoroughly enjoyed them.
I can't even think about Xmas yet.

I'm having a much needed day at home today, mainly because I have a throat infection and just didn't feel up to visiting the nursing home today.  Working at my own pace I've managed to do a few much needed jobs and have even done some cooking. Baking a loaf of bread is so much easier when you have the extra time to put into it.

We are having new carpets fitted today, it's a two day job. :o They have just arrived so Chance and I are in the kitchen keeping out of the way. They have just asked if we wanted to keep any of the old carpet.We declined ;D
