Oh I forgot to mention, a new Kitchen Aid 4 slice toaster, it is beautiful and cooks toast perfectly evenly. Highly recommended ☺

What a tidy pantry. Mine is desperate for a good clean out. I did  one shelf a few weeks ago and that put me off doing the rest. Everyone just throws things onto the middle shelf, including me. DD buys weird and wonderful things that get used once and then hibernate. I would qualify for the untidiest pantry around.
Our whole pantry was a 'chuck it in and hope for the best' affair until last week when enough was enough. I had heaps of Tupperware I needed to use and like your DD a whole heap of 'one off' ingredients. I found the tubs with handles (top shelf) and the baskets good for keeping like items together...but time will tell!!!

CC I am very lucky to have such a big pantry but still dreaming of my future 'walk in' pantry where my appliances and food are all at arms reach 😄

Good luck with the moves Judy, you certainly have a lot to do!
I made a birthday cake for a friend a couple of weeks ago, and in return she gave me the Tupperware Snack Press...I'll have to give it a go and report back.
I also gave our pantry a massive tidy up....I didn't realise I had a collection of condensed and coconut milks in the back, I think I'll be making lots of slices and curries in the near future!!!
Still some consuming/cooking to do until I'm completely happy with it, but now we know where everything is!

I can't even begin to list all my shopping of late 😄, but a couple were, the Tmx+ mag on preorder,  Tenina's Dinner Spinner (I have the App but prefer the hard copy), and started Christmas shopping for kids online at the Scholastic book sale, well worth a look, some very good prices but a bit of a clunky website.
Also some Tupperware...and new flooring for most of our house including the kitchen ☺

If they are all the same size keep one and give the others away. I must admit I always put my thermoserver on the base, even at home. I've never thought not too.
All different sizes Cookie, 2.5L, 2.6L and the oval one...I'm thinking I'll just get rid of them!

That's what I'm thinking Judy! I can't remember the last time I used them but if I get rid of them I'll need them!

I'm having a big spring clean of my kitchen and trying to get rid of things I dont use. I have 3 thermoservers which I use all the time, but I never use the bases...
Do you think I'd miss them if I gave them to the local op shop (as serving plates)?

I just happen to have the Coles mag here Cookie. Did you make the Lemon Blueberry or the Chocolate? I might have to give a cake a poke tomorrow too :) I think DD would like the 'poke' part!

Wow! ES that looks amazing!
I've never used Swiss Meringue Buttercream before. How would the end result differ from the creamy vanilla frosting?

Thank you for the lovely comments ladies! -as far as patience goes, being my second time around I had a few tricks that made it much easier. One of them was having my mum sitting next to me and turning the cake turntable for me ☺

I've only been cooking for necessity lately...hopefully when DS finishes his nap I'll get into the kitchen and have a big cook up to prepare for the week ahead -there's no way I could.cook when he's asleep, he is a super sensitive sleeper 😯
