As well as Chookie’s bread yesterday I made Potato Bread from Tenina’s new ebook.

This one is the Potato Bread.

Yes Judy, it was sort of moist- if bread can be!
Today I made some fresh blueberry muffins. Muffins are not my fortė at all. I saw the recipe on an Instagram from Preppy Kitchen and decided to give them a try. I try to send  a little something down to SIL when DH goes to see her and his Mum each Saturday.  https://preppykitchen.com/blueberry-muffins-with-sour-cream/.

Nice looking breads and muffins Cookie.

I have some apples cooking at the moment and then I will cook up some more tomatoes for the freezer.  I may make some little cakes later if the kitchen doesn't warm up too much.
The  man who said it can't be done should not interupt the woman doing it.

Need to make Ral some bread...rye, grain and seed loaf.   Looks like a Loaf lasts a week.  I’m not eating any bread.
3 lots of visitors to feed next week. I am trying to think of nice things, that I can eat or won’t be tempted to eat.
Gardener, morning tea, small almond pancakes, with clean Raspberry jam and yoghurt .( I can eat these for breakfast)
leftovers for Wednesday morning tea for security gate installer.
Lunch for installer, chicken a la something!  With salad.  Bread rolls
Friday, hot x bun making day. This is dangerous! Buns for morning tea that I have frozen after 1/2 of a second rise.
Lunch, chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto. Served with Spiralizer Zuchinni and grilled tom from garden.

Big challenge on Sunday, next week.  DS is turning 50.   We wanted to take him and DDIL out somewhere flash.  But he said he would rather have me cook him a roast dinner.
GS is turning 14 the following  day.  So joint celebration.

It's a pleasure Judy. Not only did she lose her partner (DH's brother) in November, but she was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She is in the public system but is being operated on the 19th of this month. She said she has a lovely lady GP who has been brilliant. I really feel for her.

Chookie you are going to be very busy cooking. It's very hard to resist and it doesn't get any easier. I love reading what you are cooking.

There is so much happening with everyone I can't keep up and all the cooking looks and sounds absolutely delicious!

Just made a batch of tomato paste (as per Cookie' s detergent oooppppssss a couple of weeks ago) and experimented with another vegan macaroni and cheese recipe - I have to admit, though, nothing has quite come up to a real cheese sauce, but I have now got a few fairly respectable options that I can use.

Tomorrow is roast vege fritatta and a sausage bake - both happening early in the morning because it is going to be a hot day so I want to get everything out of the oven before things heat up too much.

You are always oh so busy in that kitchen Chookie but we all know you love it. I’m not surprised DS chose your cooking over going to a restaurant.

That’s sad cookie, it must be hard for her coping with that news without the support of a DH.

Your weekend cook-up is underway again Marina in spite of the hot weather.  Wise to get things done as early as possible and then perhaps have some ‘me time’ or do you have too many other jobs to do at weekends?

I usually try to get some time to myself, but we have 3/4 acre here so there is always something to do around the garden and I usually have the accounts for the company to do as well ... just in case I have any free time, that is.

Cookie, nice gesture for SIL.   What a fought time she is having.
Marina, I love how you keep trying different versions of recipes.
Have just seen that it is going to be 36 degrees on Sunday, DS birthday party.  Will have to change menus to cold roast turkey and salads.
Cookie, thanks for the encouragement.  I have lasted a week without any breakouts.  Next week will certainly be a challenge.
Today I will bake date scones and plain scones and freeze them.
Yesterday I made lots of small almond pancakes, also frozen. Will print the recipe.
Teriaki grilled salmon for lunch with Cauli rice, yellow French beans and spinach.

I’ve noticed that the supermarkets are now stocking spiralised veggies and cauliflower rice. I forgot to look at the prices. I guess it helps if you are working and have children.
