Made this sauce a couple of nights ago, and it was extremely good. My batch was sufficient for 2 x 38cm pizzas. (Halved the sugar as per a suggestion).

How about dried tomatoes instead of paste ?

I had some tomatoes in the cold already quite mature!
I took them to make this sauce.
I added some fresh basilicum leaves and cut a little sugar!
Great stuff!
I will only use it next Friday - I will keep it in a tightly closed jar in the fridge!
Thanks for sharing

Hi Isi,

This sauce freezes very well.  I put just what I need for two pizzas into snaplock bags, label and freeze then I always have some when time is short.

It is great!
There are 3 pieces that fit for the two forms!
I found this by chance in the Supermarket!
It is so wonderful pizzas may cook only on the grid since the forms are stuck!

Your pictures are lovely isi.  This one reminds me that I haven't cooked pizzas for months now - so many new recipes to try. I woke at 1.30am the other morning, wide awake so got out all my print outs of TMX recipes and others which need to be converted and sat in bed until 3.45am sorting through and picking out things I want to make over the next couple of months. Now I just go to that new file and choose something to try unless I am in a hurry, then I do something from my TMX recipe folder which I've done before.

I love the two storey pizza trays too. Brilliant idea.  Your pizzas look delicious.

I am definitely going to try this next week =D

Sounds amazing and i am so impressed with my tomato sauce that i made.... I had been putting a layer of tomato paste on the base and putting my tomato sauce over the top!

Will be great to have one to spread on by itself! Im obsessed with home made pizza! its just soooo tasty!

Just last week i put together a pine nut, sultanas, red onion and corn pizza and it was AMAZING!

Thanks for the recipe  :D

I agree this sauce is amazing, the pizza tasted soo good last night, it looked nice as well, best thing about it was that everything from grating my cheese to making the dough and sauce was done in one bowl with no in between washing, I only had to use a chopping board for my peppers onion and salami. Here's the photo.
