I've never tasted Jerusalem Artichokes. Do they have a special flavour? I don't even think I have seen any for sale here either.

Do they look a bit like ginger?  I got excited at a farmers market once, they were selling it by the bagful.  I though it was cheap ginger.  May be wrong though.

Bedlam, yes they do look a bit like ginger. They have a nutty smokey flavor.  They  can cause flatulence. The kids call them fartichokes.
