Does violin music make bread taste better

Well, this post just had to come from me, didn't it??

After reading this snippet from The Strad magazine, I think I will have to move all my CDs into the kitchen - better not forget to bring along the player as well!

I have a radio/CD player in the kitchen. I have the radio on all day, listening to the cricket this morning. The only time I put CD's on is around Christmas when the normal radio presenters are on leave.  I often put John Lennon's So This is Christmas on repeat. I adore this song, it has many happy memories of teaching in Three Springs.

I'm afraid I am not a fan of violin music, sorry! But if you can prove that it helps the bread then I will put it on near the bread, with the volume low.  :). I'm a rock and roll gal!

The music died for me when Elvis did cookie. If it ain't Elvis, Chubby or Buddy it is the classics for me. Except for Jimmy Buffett of course.

Hi Marina.  Of course this is correct.  It's not the dough that it affects but the person making the bread.  You know what it is like when you have a rotten day in the kitchen.  Not the recipes but you.  Love all strings played well.  Also like Gert's selection.  Better go and put some music on as I am about to make some Viennese biscuits.   ;D

I hadn't read this when I made this dark rye bread in the breadmaker today but the carols seemed to work too  ;D

I love Human Nature, especially at Christmas. ( don't know why). I play it VERY loud when I am doing the dishes on Christmas Day.
