Hello all, long time no visit/speak etc.
I'm finally getting unpacked in my new location and today unpacked all my thermie and other cook books so I wondered how everyone is doing?
I'm gradually getting used to my change in circumstances and location and today I baked 8 cakes for a friend's freezer. 3 chocolate, 3 ginger and 2 coffee. Still got apple ones to do and lemon muffins. She's having a big operation and we're filling the freezer for her and her family. I've got a big cooker so 3 cakes at a time in the oven and used my big Kenwood. It only took two hours. It's good to be baking again.
It's wet here but we're not flooded.
Xxx

Hello, DJ, welcome back, it's great to see you on here again.

I am sure the past couple of years have been hard for you but do hope that things are coming right.  You are certainly getting back into the swing of baking, anyway.

Hope you can keep in touch with us.  We have some new faces here and some old ones have dropped away, but change always happen.

Hi DJ, good to hear you are getting on with your life and still using your TMX. The forum is very quiet these days but from time to time some of our early members pop back in like you have to say hello. Wishing you all the best.

Hi DJ , nice to see you are back and in full swing cooking .
So it’s take care of me time again , just been to the skin specialist as I had an annoying patch on my chest . A few zaps of the frezzing gun , but one right near my eye , like a brown blob .. it is fine just looks ugly brown patch . This one hurts , looks terrible now . A quick stop in Ballarat were there seemed to be an accident in the Main Street, ambulance fire you name it , turned into a long time , Wilson’s for fruit and veg .. now you cannot get out the front ( heads up Chookie ) have to exit out the back . Parked in 1/4 min park to have lunch .. eek , DH had to go to Total Tools , were I feel asleep, that would have been fine except DH saw friends in there and said did you say hi ... how embarrassing!

Ouch KAtie, I know very well how those zaps can hurt. I usually feel the first half dozen and after that their stinging covers the rest. I have my 6 monthly check in early December.

Lovely to hear from you DJ.

Yes, KAtie, we had same problem at Wilson’s but also went around back. Looks like we missed the action in the Main Street.  Dropped kids off at school and then went out for breakfast at LeEspresso.  My favourite shop in Ballarat is closing. Le Kitchen. Got a letter saying we could buy anything in shop, 30% off.  Went a bit mad and bought all the Le Creuset cookware that I didn’t have.

Welcome back DJ.
Great shopping with the 30% off Chookie.
I travelled into London yesterday as I was babysitting GS for the evening. I stayed overnight and travelled back this morning, The underground line I use had delays and I didn’t get home until lunchtime.

Oh I like Le Kitchen , now there are hardly any kitchen shops left . Love Le Creuset , infact DM has a small fry pan that is light , used it all the time when with her .
My day is stationary! Can you believe it , mean at boarding school DS left at 7.30 am for Cricket at Casterton!! DD had a netball game . I will realise the down time . Tomorrow is too busy , collect DD and DS return home then DH will drive to Melbourne as they all have appointments on Monday! Hoping DH will do that driving .

You must certainly run up the km’s on your vehicles KAtie.

I stayed inside with the aircon on today. Too hot for me.

We have been also doing a lot of driving, but not as much as KAatie. DD doing an in service in Melb.  GD doing exams. GS not well.
Creswick market was fab. New stalls and the weather good. Bought locally grown Capers. Took a jar of jam to the man who gave me a very large potato. I wanted another one but insisted paying.  He charged me 20 cents.  I just can’t win.
Big cook up today. Soup, sausage rolls, Portuguese tarts, and Roast Chicken. More Choc Chip cookies.

Lovely news about your Mum KAtie. It is hard for the whole family when students have exams. DD had one last week but it was the last in this course she is doing. It was through Monash this time. I have no idea where she gets the enthusiasm to continue studying and working full time. Definitely not from DH or I.
