Title: Low salt recipes
Post by: Coralie Young on October 20, 2017, 05:20:26 pm
I have recently been diagnosed with a medical condition and need to cut out salt from my life completely besides 120/100g serve so almost completely. I was hoping you could lead me in the direction of some very very low salt recipes please. I can not thank you enough for any help that I may get.

Hi Coralie, welcome to the forum.  How long have you had your Thermomix?
I’d do a bit of googling for answers and recipes, you can use herbs and spices to replace salt in your recipes.  Have you spoken with a dietician?
Here’s one site I found when googling http://www.healthyfoodguide.com.au/health-information/low-sodium
I wish you well with your quest to improve your problem by changing your diet.

Hi Coralie. Welcome.
I've just started looking at The DASH Diet, originally designed to lower blood pressure but has many other benefits. There's a lot of info online that I've just begun to sort through, but here's a starting point for you. http://dashdiet.org/low_salt_diet.asp
Not sure how long you've had your Thermomix but it helps a lot because you can make a lot of your own foods instead of commercial ones that have hidden salt, like breads, sauces, crackers.
Hope this helps :)

I wish you all the best Coralie. At least with a thermomix you will be able to make all your own sauces etc and know what is in them.
