Well the cookies were a hit ! Happy son, happy Mum lol.

One of the Mums from another class took her Thermomix into school today and made a fruit slushy for her daughters class for Masterchef .......... was very hot here today so she said it went down really well.

We made these in the end. He wanted something sweet.

We used this cookie dough recipe and Christmas tree cookie cutters. Then dipped them in chocolate (225gm choc melts plus 1 1/2 tbsp. coconut oil).  I hope they set ok ! Attached nice pic of chocolate all over his face lol. He's finally gone to bed ........ahhhhh.

Great idea with the slushie. Our kids primary school had so much red tape you could never do anything like that.

I made brioche dough for the first time today and was pleased with the way things turned out.  Will post the recipe.

Just mucking around with the KA yesterday and today. I made pitta bread, and today I'm trying flaky pastry. I am sick of adding the correct amount of flour and it ends up way too sticky when I add the correct amount of water. Think my flour is different, so I will just have to play it by ear next recipe. This is very fiddly as you have to add butter and then roll, pop it into the fridge and then keep repeating the process. I'm just doing it for the experience tho  :-))

I didn't notice it was overly sweet Gretchen.  I've frozen it in slices otherwise I'd have another taste to check for the sweetness factor  :-))

Snappy that is a magnificent piece of decorating there, so smooth and even.  How did you do that ???
