Quite a lot of different varieties of fruit in that recipe Cookie1 - glad you tried it, may prompt others to do it now.

Thanks Thermomixer, yes maybe I do talk too much -  3000 posts, that's something I would never have envisaged 12 months ago. Funny how your life can change just by buying an appliance.

Have taken your hints onboard re chicken fillets and the best way to cook them to stop them being so dry.  :-* :-*

Dani has one

and I think she likes it.  But one comment that she would maybe sue the rolling pin after to get them thinner?
Don't think she would get far trying to sue a rolling pin Thermomixer  :D :D :D  Doubt any lawyer would take that one on  ;) ;) ;)

I made this today and used 1/2 teaspn sambal oelek in lieu of the chilli oil & the only other change I made was that I cooked the sauce for 3 minutes 100o on speed 2 then added some water to make it more saucy. I am not a great fan of steamed/poached chicken breast meat as it is usually dry so would use thighs next time. I wanted it all hot to serve with fried rice so kept the chicken in the thermosaver whilst I made the sauce then tossed it all together.  Lovely flavours and it tastes better than it looks.  4/5 from me.

Today I have made Spicy Asian Chicken in Garlic Sauce, fried rice (stovetop) and a vanilla version of the Light Ice-cream. Went to the local market this morning so have plenty of fruit to freeze and make drinks with.

Wonder if you can get them in kitchen shops? Has anyone seen them around anywhere?

My first lot of starter is still in the freezer JulieO - will not be making another lot again until I make another menu plan with yoghurt recipes so that I know how I am going to use it up (like I did with the first lot).  We are not great yoghurt eaters in this house so it was made for cooking more than anything else. I will be interested to see if your frozen batch works as a starter for the next lot.

Thanks isi, look good.  The vanilla sugar is 2 teaspoons if I remember correctly from one of your other recipes - we buy it in a glass jar if we don't make our own.

Chit Chat / Re: Found a garden to rent;)

Looks like I may be able to get my raised garden bed sooner than I thought.  Today the guys finished off the front garden (looks great, pity I can't take & post a photo) and because they ordered too many river pebbles I told them they can do down the side of the house for me & use them there. They can start in just over a week and just means cutting down some largish trees and shrubs, laying weedmat then spreading the pebbles. I have the pebbles and the weedmat so it will just be the labour costs &  I can then go out and get myself one of these corrogated iron garden bed containers to sit on the new area.

What a great little gadget JulieO.  Is that an Australian or American company?
