Thankyou for that vid! That's exactly how it looked! I cracked it & threw it out but I'll keep that in mind for next time!!

So, why would mine be not working do you think?

Tips and Tricks / Hollandaise Disaster! Help please!
« on: April 06, 2012, 12:35:50 am »
Sorry, I have no idea if this is the right section or not! I just tried to make hollandaise sauce....twice...both ended in disaster!! The first lot ended with scrambled eggs with melted over it, the second looked great till I went to pour it out and it sat for a minute and the butter split and sat ontop.

What am I doing wrong??? I followed the recipe to a tee!! Help please!!

My consultant told me AFTER delivery that the blades should be replaced every 3 years which shocked me! I knew they would wear out eventually but for $2000 I would have hoped they'd last longer than that!!! Very disappointing!

Introduce Yourself / Re: Hello There!!

As for the &Co.......well DH hasn't been allowed to touch it yet!! lol....I'm still a bit precious about it!! hahaha

I have two kids 2 & 4 and they LOVE helping me put all the ingredients in & watching it evolve into something yum! They ask me every day what we're going to cook in "thermy" lol

Hopefully once I get more of a hang of recipes I can start experimenting more successfully! Tonight I made up a cauli, carrot, celery & bacon soup (I think I've only ever made soup once before!! lol) and it was YUMM!!! I was pretty chuffed with myself for inventing something that actually tasted nice!! We were supposed to have Pumpkin Soup tonight only for me to realise at 5pm that I had no pumpkin!! PMSL

Hi guys! So I've been sneaking around here for the last few weeks and finally thought I should introduce myself!

I've had my Thermomix for about a month now & am really loving it!! I've had a few disasters but they've all been my fault in not following the recipes!! lol

Looking forward to gaining some great advice & recipes from you all, see you around!!

I'm trying this tonight. It's just for DH & I so I've only done 1/2 a recipe with just egg yolks & a shot of espresso! In the fridge now...hope it works!

I'm making this now & it smells amazing!! I added a large carrot when I chopped the onion & thought as others have suggested I'll wait till the last 10mins to put the chicken in. I have some baby spinach to so will put that in the bottom of the thermoserve then put the chicken ontop till the rice & beans are done!! I'm so excited to eat tea tonight!! lol
