I'm glad your TMX has arrived. It must have gone to the gold coast before it got to you. 15 days is a long time. You could have driven over and picked it up. Have fun now that it has arrived. Don't forget that people on here are only too glad to help.

Bread / Re: Rustic Wheat - Rye - Potato Bread

I have a couple of tins with lids CAthy. I like them because the bread is then square-some people, DD, don't like the big curve on their bread!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually I don't use the lids that often. I now have a selection of 5 bread tins and end up with all sorts of loaves.

Isi, once again this looks lovely. I think I will love it. As I don't have a 30cm tin I may try a half recipe, or just put it in 2 tins. Will photograph it and let you know how it goes.
I went and bought a 12.5kg bag of bakers flour this morning so I am ready to go. I seem to run out quickly even though there's only 3 of us eating it.

I did make these last weekend but didn't put the photo onto photobucket. We found them very crunchy too, even though I didn't roll the dough very thin. Perhaps I cooked them too long. When the leftovers were cool, I put them into a container to put in the fridge for lunch on Sunday; I forgot so the next morning I had to throw them out as they had meat in and would have gone off in the heat. I was mad at myself >:( >:( such a stupid thing to do.

We had a variety of fillings. Some had pesto, sundried tomatoes and bocconcini, others salami, mozzarella and passata. We put mushrooms and anchovy on a couple of the salami ones.

It certainly is a beautiful place Judy. Rainbow has a lovely city for her home. We hope to call there for a few days when we get away in March. Anywhere that may be cool. :-\

Bread / Re: MY "VERY NORMAL" BREAD
« on: February 04, 2010, 04:24:27 am »
I had just moved down the posts to read this and realised I had 2 loaves of this bread rising and they had been there for some time.  :(They were well over the top of the tins but I think will be ok. Our computer is well away from the kitchen and I hadn't put the timer on. Couldn't smell them as I have rotten hay fever again today. Ghastly easterly winds. Well off to cook the bread as the oven should be hot enough now!!

The bread cooked beautifully despite its very long second rise. I had some for lunch-very nice.
